The 1980 Olympia obviously was fixed.

Arnold made a comeback just that one time as a stint to progressively affect his movie career for the better.

Mentzer was in the best shape of his life and got dumped on by Arnold.

Arnold, however, was in lousy shape comparatively, that and he's all pecks and biceps; everything else is average at best.

Mentzer had a rounded Herculean physique thats enviable by even todays standards.

Mentzer was the uncrowned king of the 1980 Olympia.

I was there and I would not describe his calves as average, best in show more like. Also his back detail was amazing to see and the three quater shots great. Fantastic traps with best bicep and best chest and being much taller and broader than Mentzer he had the edge.

Mike should have bitched about 79 beaten by skinny Zane, lol!

His calves WERE abysmal, I'm surprised you said what you said honestly, Mentzer had the most complete physique in that era of BodyBuilding, but just got overshadowed by Arnold's relationship with Joe Weider and his developing movie career.

It certainly wasn't just he was placed fifth. His back was very average for the time, and yeah, he did have good traps, I will give him that.

Yeah, Mike is dead, and yeah, it's sad, but the most respectful way to idolise the legacy, is not to dwell on a part of his life when he was at his lowest, so the whole bullshit sentimental approach to tributes of him aren't really doing the guy justice, in my opinion, of course.

And Franco was an attention whore, no wonder he was trying to get in the shot.
