a 555 wont be anywhere near as good as your prs.have a look at a jem 7vwh the early 777 jems are awsome aswell any jem apart from a 555 will do ya

This guitar is an ass to stay in tune and believe me the action of these straight out of the factor is really bad, I bought one a few days ago yet to see it in its full glory hopefully when all these problems can be resolved.

i think it's normal that a new guitar doesn't stay in tune because it has new stock strings and there a pain to keep in tune. you could get new good strings and that can solve the problem

Yeah I probably take back what I said back then, a friend of mine told me the it was the strings new and all and even the springs needed to settle (the springs were making a scartching noise so I opened the back put a bit oil over the springs where it was rubbing with the guitar and walla) 2 months now and I'm really happy with it.. although I doubt my next guitar will be brand new :)

if its making a scratching noise when you use the vib arm, you should try to tighten the screws behind the locking nut, behind the neck. its a litlle hard to explain:P

i have a cort x6 it has a similar way of tuning...the problem is the bridge... as soon as you try to tune the low E string the bridge will rise or fall...that will make the other strings to become out of tune...it has a fine tuning at the bridge tho so once you finished rough tuning at the head, you just have to fine tune it back at the bridge..(lool this is my longest comment ever =P)

definately... Even though I haven't tried any other of the Jem guitars, I think this one is very good. offcourse it depends what style you are playing, but for solo-playing it's perfect. But it also has a wonderful clean-sound. So If you buy the Jem-555, you won't regret it;)

I'm not sure what you would have to pay for that guitar, because I bought my in Norway. I payed about 12000 Norwegian kroners, and that would be about 2200 American Dollars. Even though it's the cheapest of the Jem models, it's not very cheap:P
