It's so funny how people like to talk about someone who has never had the opportunity to see and hear him personally as i could.
As his nephew I could realize he was too much respected and with a great reputation concerning the unquestionable quality of his castratti naturale voice anomaly.

I also have a rather popular Uncle who sings, but in a different genre of Country-Western Music. He is my Uncle Claude King, and he won two Grammy's. Your Uncle richly deserved that and more. Yes sorry, I don't know what the problem is. I have some other videos as well but they're .rm and I don't know how to convert them to .avi for another format that is more playable. Any suggestions?
I mean it stops for no at tohse last moments and it won;t play. Plus perhaps you can get some kind of software to do I dunno. I've been trying to convert iTunes M4P inot MP3 for my MP3 player
I am pleased that people are continuing the search for the rare male soprano voice. Paulo, however, did not have a good voice. I wish that he did have, along with my wishing that we had a 1000 really good ones today to sing beautiful Baroque music.
I am blessed (and cursed) with the ability to descern which voices are truly excellent and which are not. I love hearing good voices ranging all the way from basso profundo to soprano. My observations are not arbitrary and are confirmed by other knowledgeable musicians.
@lucy0loves0music Well Lucy, I had the opportunity to know Paulo Abel quite well, since we were born in the same city and i can assure you he had a very strong study as a singer. His voice was a gift and he had studied chant in Italy and France with very respectful musicians. He had a strong carrer as singer, this video shows it well. Unfortunately, people have a wrong conception about castrati and countertenor voices. I suggest they should study more about the subject.

This is the vocci that Handle scored the aria for. Too bad it is so flawed. Paolo has a great voice.

sorry I've been busy but I would like to hear more of Paolo Abel just to know his voice sounds with other songs.
Plus converting songs to M4Ps is the music industries way of copyrighting everything.
