hey i got a chihuahua but its scared & its my first dog ive ever had & its not drinking water or eating or playing around with its toy its about 2 or 3 months old can you help me out?? & do you know a website that can help me????
Sometimes Chihuahua's are a bit scared. Mine will not eat or drink in fronnt of me but if the food level isn't going down, You may need to call the Vets. It may be costly but it's the least you can do for your favorite furry friend.
try cat food b/c some chihuahua won't eat dog food the second you bring them home or leave your dog alone by itself with the food when you feed it then check on it to see if it ate anything! that what i had to do with my chihuahua boomer.
@jets 137931.. hey just for anyone reading this, my vet told me to never give cat food to a chihuahua or any dog. i was doing that because my dog was having trouble eating the dog food and he said it has different amounts of nutrients in it and can be very dangerous for a dog.
@dearnikky with a little dog it does not not matter , if a chi puppy wont eat nothing but cat food well thats what you give it , either that or it dies of hypoglycemia
@louib716 switch it over gradually, a teaspoon at a time. Add one teaspoon new food, one teaspoon less old food over 7-10 days. They should be ok by then.
@nelseto13 just let him/her to get to know you better mine was doing that the first 2 days and it was 1 month old now its 3 month old or maybe he is sad because he miss friend or family so buy him company or baby him

She was about.. eh 8 or 9 years old. The Vet said she wouldn't live past six months. Shows how much he knew lol. She did have a lot of problems but my goodness was that dog spoiled rotten. She lived a very happy life. ♥

you can give cat food make sure there is no fish or fish oil in it you can get can or dry.
