That was great playing, but I don't think it's terribly close to the same tone. It's good tone and is usable in this style but it's just not that basswood or that floating bridge tone. I found myself listening more to the tone than the playing because you mentioned it, that's the only reason I thought I'd criticize. Great video either way!

I agree with you ! But the main problem here was with the mic position ! It was so close, but the mic ruined some of the tone and make it brighter than I was hearing.

Awesome thanks Alot man, forgot to mention great playing, is the neck alittle like zakk wyldes Gibson? As I love my zakk and the feel of the neck, my standard is pretty cool also but that's a 60's neck, I'm guessing joes is more 50's

Actually the Zakk is amazing too, but Joe´s neck is a little thicker, more like a PRS Santana I or Gibson Bonamassa. Think of Black Beauty 57 neck ... a little like that.

And thanks a lot ... that video is just to show you can get pretty different sounds from one guitar. But I´ll try to do the Eat the Rich song too, it´ll be nice to show the middle position ... quite unique sound because of the reverse wound pickup neck pickup.

Amazing choice ! One only thing you have to pay attention is the neck ... baseball bat profile, so its not for everybody, but I think it helps to give this guitar even more tone.

The middle position gives you a stunning sound, much like Eat the Rich intro riff.
