Did? Um, people STILL hate her. Read comments on Beatles videos and her videos. People want her dead to this day.
Most people hate her because they feel she broke the Beatles up. 99% of all bands are gone within 10 years anyway or radically changed. The amount of amazing work the Beatles did was like five lifetimes so it is amazing they lasted as long as they did.
When Yoko dies all the people will be like "oh she was not that bad" just wait and see.
I have to admit that I thought it was dreadful when one of my friends, who went to NY's FIT brought this home during a break. He came home with all kinds of music that we were not listening to in my high school circle. This was like a bad accident. I thought it was dreadful, yet, could not stop playing it. Today, I am feeling it! Nice backing track for sure!
I just heard this, the original, i like it better than the Pet Shop boys remix, love the Lennon guitar, and the background voice shrieking "ice ice ice ice ice ice ice ice ice ice ice ice ice", etc. Who are the other people playing on this cut?
Very ironic. Yoko alone in Central Park in 1981 after John's death. Though she does look beautiful in her white fur coat..today it is considered very incorrect politically. Best Wishes Yoko.
Love this song and Video. Power to you Yoko to have live thourgh all the hurt and pain. I guess there is a master plan. Continue what you do. Create!!!
When you are scary dangerous, you can do scary dangerous things. This is one of her best & most intense tracks. She really nailed it here! It should have been a # 1.
why did people hate her

@nicodagger - Let's see - Earl Slick and Hugh McCracken on other guitars. John on keyboards. I think Tony Levin on bass. Andrew Newmark on drums.

Isn't the guitar on this one of the last things John Lennon ever recorded?
jakeisjestajoke 2 years ago 4
The lead tracks, yep. Folks reckon he did it on his old Rickenbacker 325.

Considerd a deep house track by many blacks living in chicago and NY during the early 80's thanks to Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles

Hugely popular on French radio in the early 80s...

This is quite a creepy track.
Far from perfect, but perfect for what it is.
I love the last bit of dialogue. Yoko has a bit of fire under that icy calm, no? lol.
