Something that always surprised me with this show was the body count. Some people just get flat out killed in this show, this scene being one of the most memorable. I remember a commercial that used to play all the time when this was on that ended with this line.

@MegaGunslingerX It's hard to tell since cartoons often don't realize how lethal being frozen solid like that for more than a few seconds can be. Sometimes they do make it instantly lethal but sometimes they make it seem as if you can be defrosted in a few hours without suffering any damage.

I liked how adult all of the DCAU.

They could actually get away with having characters die, this, and the Superman episode with Darkseid, where he uses his omega beam.

Kids could still watch it, teenagers would get the more adult jokes, whilst still enjoying the childish ones, and it was tolerable for adults, if the weren't a fan themselves.

Mr. Freeze is one of the few villains you can absolutely feel sorry for. He was turned into a freak trying to save his wife, his body rotted away so he could be with her once she was cured, and now his every hope of leading a normal life has been dashed. I can speak for all of us when I say that I sincerely hope that wherever Freeze ended up, Nora was waiting for him, with a warm hand waiting for his.

And then they had to screw it all up with 'the Batman'. Why? We didn't need a next gen batman. If they wanted one they could have just made more Batman Beyond, or filled the gap between the two.

Because Batman beyond WAS an extension to BTAS. It was the next step.

The batman was what WB never actually got with BB. a "kids" Batman. lol. the idea behind BB was a young batman, a twwn, that kids would connect with better than the regular one. but in the end, BB ended up being quite an adult show, with dark themes that not even BTAS had.

so they tried to it again withb The batman. the first season was... "decent". but then out of nowhere it suddenly became adam west all over again...

Bruce Timm and the rest of the crew from TAS/New Adventures created Batman Beyond with the specific intent of continuing the story of Bruce and Batman in their own way, while still remaining true to the previous two series. They also discussed possibly finishing the series some time ago, but decided to leave it where it was.

Thats a funny thing actually, considering that the suit looks quite cutting edge "made in terry's time" edge, and yet, to have been something Freeze already had, means he would have made it in the first show, when he still had a body.
