I think the only reason why he killed him was due to the grief he was feeling and that he thought Jeremy was feeling as well. Jeremy kept wanting to be a vampire and Damon was doing it due to how much grief and sorrow Jeremy seemed to have as well, so he wanted him to turn it off, like Damon thought he could do.

In MY opinion, Stephenie Meyer stole several ideas from TVD and it beats Twilight any day. You can definitely tell. I used to like the Twilight series until I read the TVD series. I'm glad that the vampires don't sparkle and I'm glad that the vampires are actually bad ass in TVD. :D

Even Ian Somerhalder didn’t understand why so many fans felt sorry for Damon after what he did. Damon fans would forgive him everything, but anyway, that’s long passed us.

That is one of the reason's why, at this moment, Damon isn't good for Elena. When he doesn't get his own way he snaps and people get hurt.

@thecandlesthatburnin His love for Elena is just so confusing, especially during second season. Damon is a very unstable character, and he's hurt Elena way too much. I mean yes he cares, but you don't force feed that person you love your blood in order to "save them." When really Elena has no intention of wanting to become a vampire. I mean could you really forgive someone like that? The way I see it was that she forgave him because he was dying near the end. =.=

Even though I love Damon, snapping Jeremy's neck like that was the stupidest thing he has ever done...after this episode in 2x03 he said that he didn't know Jeremy had the ring on. But anyway, that doesn't make me love him any less.

I think the only reason why he killed him was due to the grief he was feeling and that he thought Jeremy was feeling as well. Jeremy kept wanting to be a vampire and Damon was doing it due to how much grief and sorrow Jeremy seemed to have as well, so he wanted him to turn it off, like Damon thought he could do.

I love Damon and I'm a Delena shipper. But can you really blame Elena? No. If somebody killed my brother - not knowing if he had a ring on or not - i wouldn't be able to forgive him. I get that Damon was depressed because of Elena and Katherine rejecting him, but he deals with things the wrong way. I still don't think he's evil though.

i just love the scene! thnxxxx for uploading this! judging damon is very difficult. having read the book wherein it is mentioned in stefan diaries that damon completely refused to drink human blood even though he was dying! it was stefan who forced him and slaughtered many in the beginning and damon planned to avenge all the death stefan caused! how ironical is that! after reading many books in the series i am sure that the tv series is irrelevant of the books! COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!

I could think of several other actresses that could play her part better, and be less annoying. And I never said she couldn't act. Yes she adds emotion and yes she reacts, blah blah blah.. Anyone can give a character personality. If they can't do that they shouldn't even be acting. But too much of anything can be a bad thing. She adds so much emotion that it almost always seems fake.

In MY opinion, Stephenie Meyer stole several ideas from TVD and it beats Twilight any day. You can definitely tell. I used to like the Twilight series until I read the TVD series. I'm glad that the vampires don't sparkle and I'm glad that the vampires are actually bad ass in TVD. :D

@IsabellxMariexSwan2 eh. . .not that I'm saying Twilight is better, for me they're two different series, I don't compare them, but The Vampire Diaries books didn't really do it for me. I thought Stefan was much too flat a character, and Elena wasn't likable at all in the first book. (though she did get better) The book series was okay, but I prefer the tv series. The only thing I don't like is that instead of being unlikable, Elena is just as flat as book Stefan was.

@sparksfly44 Well difference though is that Damon is an ACTUAL vampire unlike Edward and is actually willing to kill or hurt others that stand in his way.
But trust me I could give you millions of reasons as to why Vampire Diaries is better than Twilight. Only difference though is that any bad acts that happen in VD are looked at as bad, whereas in Twilight it's looked at as romantic.

I can't believe the amount of people that are going ''Poor Damon!'' over this. How about ''Poor Jeremy""? Damon killed him just because he was standing there at the wrong time. Thank God he had the ring (which Damon admits he didn't know about) or he would have died. Lots of people get their hearts broken or get rejected. They don't go out snapping other people's necks. I can see how the alcohol didn't help the situation, and he was hoping one of the two women he loved, loved him like he loved her. It's hard to say that is an excuse but it is a defense. That is why he did say in his confession that he doesn't deserve her love.

@JNaritchie You need to understand...being rejected is one thing, but being rejected TWICE in the same day...with the SAME phrase 'It's always gonna be Stefan" would make ANYONE flip their shit. Damon is always 2nd place, and just wants love. Damon wasn't used to that kind of pain at this point, so he snapped and lashed out like how he used to be. Yes, it was horrible of him, but he immediately regretted what he did at the end of the episode. Jeremy obviously doesn't think much of it now anyway.
