TnB's confrontation surpasses S&B's wire scene easily. Sonny is a boy scout compared to old school Todd Manning. As much as I love Brenda she's a wallflower next to old school bitchy bad ass Blair. What separates these two couples for me are 2 important things 1)TnB had better writing 2) RH/KDP are better actors than MB/VM being totally shallow TnB were GORGEOUS together all that hair.
If Blair wouldnt have listened to Dorian & been in such a hurry to empty the bank accounts she might have gotten Todd to see & understand that she really did love him & not the money. But after the call from the lawyer there was no reasoning with him , no way he was going to believe anything she said now because he felt betrayed all over again.You can see at this point he still didnt want to hurt her..
Roger was great in this scene, He makes you see every emotion Todd is feeling in is eyes..
OMG He's scary! I don't know what it is, but 2011 Todd (RH) isn't frightening. Maybe it was the hair and the goatee? He's so much softer now. It's interesting.
"Please, don't let this last chance slip away." This couple has had more last chances than anyone could ever imagine having and they always end up screwing it up due to insecurities. Todd put a lot of faith in Blair and once she wronged him that unquestionable trust could never be found, just like their undying love could never be lost.
This is just....so intense! I know "The Belt" scenes are legendary, and I've seen them before, but it seriously gets me every time. So so scary! These must have been draining scenes for them. And this is so much crazier than GH's "Wire" scenes with Sonny and Brenda. I don't know how people compare the two!
Can anybody tell me if Blair was actually pregnant with Starr here? It's scary to think that she could be.
@cheetahinireland18 Totally agree with you !!!!!!!! Todd's BELT SCENES are the most hair raising scenes I have seen ever!!!!!!!!! Love them........words don't do them justice......they are just MUST SEE TV!!!!!!!
@cheetahinireland18 i'm catching all this now, in 2011, and previously only a fan of sonny & brenda in all soap history. however, i remember my babysitter watching both OLTL and GH when this was going on. i used to catch sonny & brenda here and there and notice their chemistry. years later i caught up with their full history. but i gotta say -- i thought no one could match S&B. it's hard to compare, but todd and blair are magical. kassie is a fantastic actress and roger is phenomenal.
@cheetahinireland18 CONT... together they are simply irresistible to watch. i haven't seen the belt scene yet, but thought i'd make this comment before i do. i remember how affected i was by the wire scene. great acting there -- and from what i've seen from your fantastic T&B history, i'm sure these two will tear up the screen! and THANK YOU for posting these!!!!!!
I just watche the wire scenes to see what the hype was about and have to say that it was nothing compared to the belt scene... Blair and Todd had "wire" scene fights all the time, so I don't get the hype.
@1dbhsa I have to agree with you there! With this, all I could think when I saw Todd was "oh God, what is he going to do? What is he going to do to her?!!!" In the wire scenes, the effect was kind of negligible, because no matter what, you KNEW that there were certain lines that wouldn't be crossed. With Todd, there is so much in the realm of terrible that could happen that it's scary!

@izzatluv the way he jingles those keys and says "just you and me babe".......still scares me to death.......because it's that same crazy betrayal rage he had with Marty and you just know he is so close to those emotions that I was so scared for Blair but yet so mad at her for doing it to Todd!!!!! LMAO Unbelievable stuff!!!!!
