@jepharocks: look at the bigger picture, sure billy's english but so is tony blair, didn't stop either from fronting up centre to usa foriegn policy objectives in kosovo

@gunthaarz billy did support direct NATO air action against Belgrade,he said it at gigs in 1999. I like billy's music but on this topic he was using simple stop fascism rhetoric & way out of his depth. Google billy bragg this machine bombs belgrade for article on it.

in 1999 billy b went on international tours telling everyone that belgrade must be bombed to stop the 'fascist' serbs in kosovo.now we know that was utter crap.kosovo independence was about a very large USA military base Camp Bondsteel right in balkans close to russia (a previous total impossibility) & securing adriatic port for trans-Balkan OIL pipeline - known as AMBO pipeline after its builder and operator the US-registered Albanian Macedonian Bulgarian Oil Corporation.billy's a usa patsy

This is a great song. I think the Iraqi people should've freed themselves, all they needed was solidarity, not cluster bombs.
