Those 1980 prices on your comics are interesting. It shows you and us how your collection has appreciated over the last 30 years!! Of course it always a plus to have a supportive mom who also loves comics! Are you going to send any of your Amazing Spiderman comics to CGC?
@Burco1 Yeah, looking back those prices seem cheap, but at the time, $325 for a comic was still a lot of money. I've got Overstreet Guides going back to the 2nd or third edition or so and some of those prices will make you shake your head.
@Burco1 As for sending any of the books to CGC, I've thought about the #1 and #14...I'm a bit hesitant about putting them in the mail, though, even with insurance. One of these days I'll just likely bring them to one of the NY cons that CGC attends and do it that way. I've also debated whether I should have the cover to #1 pressed before I do that, as I believe it wouldn't be considered restoration and might bump up the grade a bit. And, yes, without Mom, none of this would have been possible!
