  • love the video really good

  • really informative and interesting

  • brilliant video

  • Honors to Korolev. Except that Nazi scientists were brought to Russia and Russian thruster Launcher was derived from the German V-2. both the USSR and the U.S. to Germany.

  • till now 10 dumbs dislike this video, they are probably still fighting Soviets, idiots

  • In soviet russia, no wait...to easy :D

  • @ThePyrozone in soviet russia there is no dumb americans

  • The soviets didn't actually send anybody into space before yuri gagarin. It's all conspiracy. The recordings that were said to be of the lost astronauts were found to be fake. Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space.

  • Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon

  • He was the first to go and come back alive.... Nobody seems to be mentioning the 12 or more who went up & died during reentry or just went up & are still floating around the planet in frozen metal caskets to this day.. This was scientific advancement from out of the most vile & evil research (( including sector 7G )) the Japanese on Chinese civillians whoopie we went to the moon & back and in 40 plus years all that's been done is go up float a bit pose for the media & come back. What a waste.

  • Honor to the soviet nation.

  • Great

  • why do all these comments centre around a them vs us mentality, seriously this was a brilliant achievement by humanity atogether

  • Englesh plz

  • De acuerdo fue el primer hombre en el espacio,en cambio los americanos montaron el alunisaje aqui en la tierra

    Saludos del Che Juan

  • Define Space? He wasn't the first man in space!!!

  • USA is only the first to land a MAN on the moon. There have been probes from USSR.

  • Recordando la historia...

  • Steve Austin is a manifestation of the hand crafted Sputnik .

  • America is first and only country to land on Moon!!

  • To remember the past an know how far we have come

  • Мой дед был в этой речи. Он говорит, что реальную поддержку для него, конечно Советов увидели в этом угрозу

  • he wasnt the first man in space

  • @Megabytings who was then?

  • @PhoenixFireFx possibly any of the 'lost cosmonauts' before him that were not spoken of by the Soviet government

  • BTW he parachuted out of the capsule which invalidated (officially at any rate) the claim to be the first man to orbit the earth. This was kept secret by the Soviets for obvious reasons.

A few years later Krushchev was ousted and exiled and Gagarin died in an accidental plane crash. Or should that be 'accidental'? - he probably knew too much and his popularity became a political threat to the leadership.

  • the guy talking sounds like richard dawkings

  • gg

  • I m love gurU & subscribE ma channeL 2 get tips on makng <3 ! Willl xplain ech step 4m proposing 2 kising ;P

    Nuff said.

  • the one and only positive side of cold war....space technology evolution

  • Its funny how there are Soviet Russia jokes on every YouTube vid except for this one...

  • @OliByGolly1 good point

  • @OliByGolly1 ummm no

  • @dmravi13 Whats that suppose to mean?

  • just imagine the feeling of being the first human in space... this man does not get enough credit!

  • I'm still waiting for the Tetriminos to fall from the sky...

  • Next mission to accomplish,Land on the sun.

  • google Joe Kittinger

    now THATS a real spaceman

  • In Soviet Russia, space comes to YOU!! Long Live Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin!

  • the real credit deserves not Gagarin so much, but Sergei Korolyov, who put his life and soul to make Soviet space program a reality. Gagarin was just a passenger in predetermined flight - he didn't pilot the flight- but his ultimate achievement is bravery that he put himself into a possibly deadly mission.

  • Soviet Russia jokes are so over played just like peoples moms who use them

  • In Soviet Russia-- stfu

  • @cali4jose LOL

  • сколько радости всем людям принёс один Человек! Ура!!!!

  • In Soviet Russia car drives you!

  • fAGGOT

  • young Nicolas Cage at 1:15

  • Just another conspiracy

  • In Soviet Russia, people are fags!

  • In Soviet Russia ... men first going to space

  • Soviet Russia know how to parade. Big parade! Very awesome parade!

  • In Soviet,Russia the moon walks on u

  • The worlds first astronaut was ancient

  • How is he the "Hero"? All he did was ride in the thing. The people who created it are the real hero's.

  • @iWesTCoastiN cos he has the balls to ride it

  • @iwasboredas While that takes a small amount of courage that in no way shadows the amount of intellect and creativity it took to design and create the ship itself. THOSE ARE THE PEOPLE WE SHOULD BE CHEERING. People like Paris Hilton are famous for absolutely no reason, while the scientists that very literally ensure our species survival on a daily basis go relatively unknown to the general public.. People like Lil Wayne are 500x more popular than people like Carl Sagan, it's pathetic.

  • @iWesTCoastiN i get your point. however, i have to ask: are you intentionally trying to compare yuri gagarin to lil wayne and paris hilton. this guy was chosen to go up in space, did something significant in the larger mark of human history. and though i agree that the scientists and engineers deserve credit along side, if not more, do you really have to compare him to two individuals that will never have something even remotely significant to human history as this?

  • @serpentisma I wasn't comparing the 3. I was just using Lil Wayne and Paris Hilton as examples of modern day people.

  • @iWesTCoastiN "All he did was ride in the thing''. No one knew how the 'thing' would react and he could've died, burned alive, so, yes, he's a hero. On the other hand, I've to agree with on fact that creators should've been mentioned, they, no doubt, are heroes, too. But to say that he "just ride in the thing'' shows how little knowledge you have.

  • The quality of this video is amazing. The story makes it better. Good video.

  • Things have changed soo much!

  • Nobody knows how he died! :( i would like to know that!

  • he died in a jet plane ,crash

  • @ArT1Tuvsho prototype crash in 1968 after engine failure

  • @Sigsauerification Yea but i saw that he got on a jet and crashed....

  • Worst quality video.. Get a better camera, seriously.

    Terrible audio also.

  • @RangaScopesHD troll alert!!!!!

  • Funny how no one mentions the engineers that actually designed and built the thing...

  • @TinyTurtie haah ur rite, thats hilarious

  • @TinyTurtie Unsung heroes

  • @TinyTurtie they were fuckin nazi ya

  • @TinyTurtie The engineers sucked... The project was pushed and the first man launched in the soyuz (with over 30 different design flaws found by Yuri and him) ended up killing him... While the man plummeted to the earth he cursed the engineers.

  • @TinyTurtie agreed, we shouldn't forget Sergei Korolev and his team. there is an excellent bbc doco on youtube..

  • @TinyTurtie I think most of them they were German.

  • @TinyTurtie

Not to mention physicists and other science fields.

  • @TinyTurtie if you've mentioned engineers, then another country could try and get them, so it's better to talk only about the pilot, even if some other country manages to get him, they will gain nothing, as he can't build another rocket

  • @TinyTurtie i share your opinion, and i dont like how one person alone gets such big recognition even though it is deserved by not him/her alone. Im sure astronauts (kosmonauts in russia) are like stars. People can better relate to a single person rather than the big group of people around him/her.

  • @Pestilence86 well, when people talk about the moon landing you can only hear "Neil Armstrong"

  • @blasphemer76 Yeah, u barely hear about his collegue who was up there with him

  • @TinyTurtie Kruchev did mention the engineers and scientists

  • @TinyTurtie true

  • @TinyTurtie exactly

  • @TinyTurtie

"Funny how no one mentions the engineers that actually designed and built the thing..."

They didnt risk their lives to get shot in the space and come back.

Funny how theres no mention about using holocaust victims in a medical way. Causing them to suffer horrible death in low pressure chambers, cold water tests, etc... And how Wernher Braun made these same people work in horrible condition to the death. Hans Kammler / Wernher Von Braun.

Im just asking, why no mention?

  • @Randomnick123 What's that got to do with it? A little appreciation for people who made the whole thing possible would be nice wouldn't it? But it's always been like this. In Engineering its always the CEO, The the manager, the prime minister, king they get most of the credit. The others are just taken for granted.

  • @TinyTurtie

Seems like you dont get the point. Ofcourse you can go after and tell em to give credit for engineers if you want...

  • @TinyTurtie it is

  • @TinyTurtie who built the 'thing'

  • @TinyTurtie They do mention that. Watch the whole video properly.

  • @saifwahid mhm I may be wrong then lol. Just so used to the fact that they get ignored lol

  • @TinyTurtie, Yes. They are the real hiroes. Glory to the rocket engineer and designer Sergei Korolev. Glory to another man contribute to astronautics, the great Wernher von Braun. A member of the Nazi party, SS major, and decorated Nazi war hero, later NASA rocket engineer and designer. The man who gave wings to Armstrong, to reach the moon.

  • its a shame heros dont get welcomings like this. such as are troops coming back from afghan. it's a real shame :/

  • @joshcboy because hooligans and chavs cause trouble and ruin it for everyone!

  • A great man and a great moment in history marred by the communist overtures of both speeches

  • subscribe please? :/

  • Kooky Khrushchev

  • A hero, not just for the Soviet Union, but the whole of mankind......

  • @nfsutton a dog can fly the spaceship. is it really right to call the guy a hero? lol

  • @anonazero

you sure are the stupidest troll I have ever come across.the dog are just the passenger moron while the rocket because there is not such thing as space ship at that time are control in a command center
