I hate to sound like that guy, but wasn't Hate like 4 years before behemoth? so I've heard. so if you want to get technical, behemoth would be ripping off this band. I can hear some similarities between the two, but this has it's own style and sounds mostly a lot different than behemoth. honestly I would rather listen to Hate over Behemoth.

While we are taught religion at school through 13 years of education and Europe becomes more and more lay we start to divide and this is what you get. I love watching metalheads try and intellectualize the music. Good for a laugh. Still waiting for some decent new blood to come in and reinvigorate the scene. These guys might be proficient at playing but they are pretenders to the throne as far as I can see. Probably too focused on being "cult" and "underground" to leave the nest and do something original. Musical inbreeding doesn't help metal.

Well, they sound a little bit like Behemoth. Though Behemoth doesn't use this much harmonics, and Nergal's fucking voice... you can't compare anything to it. It is so fucking brutal. Both Behemoth and Hate are classed as Blackend death metal though, and they are awesome too :D

It's not black metal, they are death metal band but they just using corpse painting on shows and their old stuff sounded more like Deicide that's why back then i didn't like them that much cause one Deicide in this world is enough;-) but from album "Awakening of the Liar" they are really kick ass and have every next album better and by the way they are older than Behemoth so there is no any Behemoth influence and if a lot of polish bands souds similar it's probably because of Hertz Studio

I've found a lot of polish death metal has similar themes like Behemoth, Hate, Vader etc.

Old behemoth is better than the new behemoth, the new behemoth kind of changed up their sound too much a "TECHINICAL" sound. Listen to old behemoth such albums as sventevith(storming near the baltic), grom and pandemonic incantations where leszek was guitar and adam ravenlock was on drums...much more of a horrific sound to me!

I think you got it all wrong..

You can't avoid editing a voice when it comes to recording. First when transposing acoustic energy to digital signals there are many way the recorded voice will be distorted (proximity effect, room resonance etc). However i don't think adding extra digital effects is "cheating" (reverb, equalizer, stereo). Those effects are to purify the voice rather then recreate the sound. And all processed can be preprocessed.

It's the outcome that maters not the methods..
