Ifugao people were decendants of Miaos from southern China : Sichuan, Guanxi, yunnan etc. these are high altitude dwelling people , building rice terraces on mountain slopes are common practice ! Ifugao & Miao people have simmilarities in their customs and traditions , like Batik weaving , flute , Dongba wood carvings etc.

recently, before this video was made probably, there were artifacts recovered dating back 2250 years ago, clearly indicating that early settlers, direct ancestors of the present day Ifugaos, are the ones who created the terraces.
and the bones and mummies of the nearby sagada, dating back as far as 3000 years ago, with DNAs relative to those of modern Ifugaos only means that settlers of the site were not of Chinese descent.

Ifugao people were decendants of Miaos from southern China : Sichuan, Guanxi, yunnan etc. these are high altitude dwelling people , building rice terraces on mountain slopes are common practice ! Ifugao & Miao people have simmilarities in their customs and traditions , like Batik weaving , flute , Dongba wood carvings etc.

It's not like YOU built it, we can all marvel at something is but being prideful because your "ancestors" built it is just fucking idiotic. Same thing with blood, whats the difference between a white man and a black man's blood? Are they not both red? Often when such pride exist, in uneducated or third world countries it's often blurred between racism and pride/nationalism. I know a lot of Filipinos in America, they're all prideful, but when I ask them why, they can't provide a answer.

Kahit na tagabundok sila mas magaan ang buhay sa kapatagan kaya nakapagtataka kung bakit sila hindi bumaba at inukit pa yung bundok para tamnan. At hindi ko inabot ang HEKASI kasi mas maganda ang curriculum nung time namin kaya masyado akong mausisa. Ikaw maalindog, lalabas ka ba ng kwarto kapag naiinitan o gagawa ka pa ng electricfan? Ano mas madali? Yun ang nakapagtataka kung bakit hindi sila bumaba. Hindi ako kuntento sa dahilan na taga bundok sila. Mag aral ka ng anthropology.

Hudhud is still practiced today, my grandfather and grandmother leads this Hudhud. I live in Hungduan, a municipality next to Banaue. You can find beautiful terraces there as well as native houses.
