Holy Crap! I've been wondering what this song was for like 6 years now. I remembered the video but I couldn't remember the name of the song. This shit is hot.
JE ME SOUVIENS AVOIR ACHETER LE 45 TOURS QU ' ELLE CHANSON SPLENDIDE ET AUSSI LE CLIP EST TRèS BIEN RéALISER à QUAND LE CLIP OFFICIEL VEVO HQ MËME PAYANT SAM LE MUSICAL & SENTIMENTAL
@TheMkenneth - Not a Beyonnce fan, couldn't even tell you a song she made, but you have to remember this is a whole different era we life in now. The Pointer Sisters was our era, and i wouldn't change it for the world.
These young kids, can't relate to this music. So i say more power to those youngins.....cause in 20 years, a new group of kids will be laughing at Beyonnces music.....like we do.
June you are missed :( great sisters. the best performers ever. no one can replace the POinter sisters. RUth ANita and June................ i like June's voice, the best of the three, I like Anita's charisma and intelligence, she wrote some of their songs. And Big sis Ruth always the sweet Big sis:) love you girls. June werever you are God speed
Ruth looks like Randy from American Idol...I was surprised Ruth never made a guest appearance there. She could have been his twin and no one would have noticed.
By the way, the woman you mentioned as "buck-tooth": Her name is June and she had a very troubled history with drug abuse. And it is so sad that June died at age 52 to cancer and a stroke. All the sisters tried their best to keep June away from drugs, but she became too unpredictable. Ruth's daughter came later to fill in June's part.
I haven't heard this song since Sept.-Oct. 1985! For years, I've been wondering what the song was I heard that had the line, "I've got a chip on my shoulder". I was only 6 at the time. And tonight I finally found it. Oh my God! Thank you! Love the chorus, synths and video. Superb! Had to post on FB.
How the hell could I have missed all these great catchy Pointer Sisters videos? Yes I knew all their songs and I watched MTV around the clock so I wonder how I could've missed their songs but I do remember the Jump(for my love) video.
@imachildofthe80s8089 i meant how could i have missed their videos(this one especially). I knew all their songs just don't remember all the videos. Only jump springs to min
@UandMeKid I was 11 but wow i do remember this song. i love it, i used to sing this :) i didnt know that the pointer sisters were the ones who sang it. just endearing, :) what a great group. i consider them the first girl group :) or girl band, do u agree guys?:)
this was the famous "up tempo G**d*** record" casey kasem complained about in his snuggles meltdown of september 1985. he had to transition out of this song to a heart-wrenching dedication to a dead dog named snuggles; and casey went nuts.
Oh My God! It was their best song...at least rhtyhmically. Most people just don't get this song!!! It's about being fed up in an abusive relationship!
@bostwickzapruda I can understand why. Such things need to be handled in a certain way with a certain amount of dignity and sensitivity, and the producers didnt....
I loved them....their songs make me shiver x

I saw Ruth today at the NY State Fair. She sang with her daughter and granddaughter. Anita was sick, otherwise, she would have been there.
