  • Brava!!!

  • is this something like graduation recital or wat?

  • Thank you!

  • I think you did it great!

Though its an difficult song but you made it good =)

  • Your voice is quivering and screechs at times and your eyes look so tired and worn out. I guess you must have been stressed out by the whole thing. Get plenty of rest next time you perform. I hope you can make it big but you will need tons and tons of effort.

  • overall pretty good..you were pitchy and sharp in some areas...and kinda hooty at times.. You got through it though and you have a nice quality to your voice..:0)

  • Thank you!

  • 27???? !@#!% I would have been keeling over...wow... no wonder you sound tired. Your voice has a wondrous curling quality...

  • you are sharp, pushing sound isnt so pleasant. several French mistakes.

  • You sound tired. I have read other comments and agree that 27 is way to much. Most top notch professionals would never sing that many pieces. Can i ask how old you were when performing this piece and where you studied?

  • I have to say, I question your teacher's judgement. 27 songs? Including both this AND Glitter?

No one should really be singing both this and Glitter, least of all in one night. They are for two COMPLETELY different voices.

I do think that you have marvelous potential... please consider what I and others have said - your teacher is quite possibly nuts for allowing this...

(and next recital? 12 pieces... with only a few kickyourass arias, please :) )

  • ok! I totally agree! Thanks. =)

  • I'm surprised you were able to sing at all - after singing 27 songs including "Glitter and be gay." That aria alone is almost enough to do anybody in. This performance was not bad..poor thing you were exhausted..keep singing..you have some good qualities.

  • Please don't take any notice of "Super Star", you have a very nice scale of technics and yes your voice will develop. Please do keep on singing.

    Best regards and good luck:D

  • Thank you so much!

  • Actually it is really good. This is not an easy aria. And I am also a singer. Advice though- never sing 27 songs in one recital--- ever. That is crazy for a first recital. I hope your teacher gives you better advice than this. Or you should change teachers quick.

  • Thanks, I'll keep that in mind next time. My teacher really wanted me to have at least 5 arias and so that's one of the reasons why my program ended up so big.

  • To be honest, I still do not know quite what the term means (This is my second year of serious voice training, so I'm still learning too). But I've heard of the term before. At the moment, I'm still trying to learn all the ranges in the Fach system and its mind-boggling because there are SO many categories and sub and sub-sub categories. You know? But keep doing your best and keep your voice healthy and strong.

  • I love this aria (but unfortunately I cannot sing it, either now or in future - as it was written for a full lyric soprano or spinto soprano. Not a light-lyric, like myself) - one of my top favourites. Your voice has great potential, and you are still learning - but I do not think you have a full lyric or spinto soprano voice.

  • I'm a soprano legere, but I'm not completely sure what that means. Maybe give me a few more years for my voice to develop more.

I wish I could have changed many things in this video after listening to it. But this was a live performance, my first recital, and I sung this after singing 27 other songs and arias. So by this time I was extremely exhausted. I guess singing Glitter and be Gay before that really shook me up too because I was having trouble finding my ground during this aria.

  • One of my favorite Arias. So you're still learning. What's wrong with that? I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing.

  • Save yourself a lot of time and effort and stop singing.

  • Thank you for your encouragement and support! =)
