Instead of erasing the line you should have used the lowest layer and selected only the girl with the quick select tool. then brought a copy of it to the front then erased part of this copied layer on the parts where you want the line to go over. this way you dont have to actually erase any of the line so it is easier to edit it later if need be and the lines go around her body much neater

At 3:12, you selected the move tool from the brush tool, then you said go to the layer where u did your brushes which is the third layer, hold ur ALT key, then go in between your pens layer and brushes layer, and u click and see a thumbnail pop up, and if u click on that (what, the thumbnail) it will create a clipping line. IS THERE AN ALTERNATIVE WAY TO DO THIS BECAUSE ITS NOT WORKING FOR ME! DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING WRONG!!
