I totally agree with you, Balrog is crap. People always use the same combo with him, it's so annoying. Him frame traps are predictable and he's not tough. I'm a Ryu player and Guy Player, so whenever Balrog uses that headbutt and misses, it's so easy to punish him. I give him a 0 out of 5. No rate at all.

Regardless of what your thoughts on balrog are, I still say that shotos are much easier to use effectively, which explains why on psn, 75% of the people use ryu\ken\akuma

Rogs backstory is a bit more in depth then that goggle. He's a former american boxer who was suspended indefinitely for permanently injuring and accidentally killing someone in the ring due to excessive force and illegal maneuvers like his headbutt and elbow hits. He joined Shadowloo but he wasn't top dog right away. He had to work his way up in the organization in order to be Bisons inforcer.

i kindve agree with you, his move sets are pretty basic that packs a big punch. with balrog, its all on timing. all his moves could be countered easily yet keeps the opponent second guessing if he doesnt dash aggressively, making him fun to use.

I know people hate how scrubs use balrog but it sounds like you don't know the matchup very well. I don't mind hearing anyone's opinion but it seems a little less credible when you mention that "they use the same moves every match," yet you somehow can't defend against a predictable strategy. Sounds to me like you're more frustrated by not being able to beat Balrog than a character assessment :p

so many things factually incorrect about this video. you cannot combo any special move from a headbutt. you cannot combo cr. jab into stand strong. FADC is not hard or makes a character "skillful" to play. thats week 1 shit.

Ex punches are good, but you can counter them with armor-breaking moves. That's so basic I shouldn't even have to say it. Plus they cost meter.

The headbutt sucks in comparison to Shoryuken-style moves because you can't do it on reaction. You have to charge it.

And you think Shoryuken, FADC, Ultra takes skill? I mastered that in training mode 5 minutes after I bought the game.

Kid, you're obviously bad at the game.

Headbutt into ultra IS good, but against you won't be hitting it against good players unless you combo it from a normal. And because of scaling, the damage isn't amazing.

Regarding the jump in, jab, headbutt: WTF? It doesn't work at all. Anti air his jump in, or block his headbutt. If you block the headbutt, it's a free combo/ultra.
