Actually tis version is Boots randolph and it's an extremely hard to find record. It called Moonglow. I'm sure Earl Bostic did the rendition too.

The cool guys shagged in Texas too if you were in the right neighborhoods. I remember seeing cute tan boys with surfer haircuts, wearing beat-up loafers just tearin' it UP! Ahh, summer memories. :o)

Being English I had never seen this before but I think it's really cool. The name of the dance made me smile though as 'shag' has a very different meaning over here lol.

Moonglow is the name of the tune. It's a moldy oldy and was featured in the film 'Picnic' with Kim Novack in the fifties.
