It is just like those who never serve to talk about those who did and do. As a professional combat soldier for 20yr in the Infantry and a leader of men. I learned early that every patriot has their purpose. The cook or clerk in the National Guard or Army Reserve is as important and valuable as the F-16 Fighter pilot or the man in the M-1 Tank. Making parts for the military on an assembly line or being a school teacher. All have value and should not be diminished.

I think it is misleading to suggest that America gave material support to Iraq and Saddam Hussein during the Iran Iraq war. They comprised less then 3% of Iraq's weapons. They were more supportive via intel but this was limited, they never gave information that could be used to jam HAWK SAMs and AWG-9 radars, which took a huge toll on Iraq. By 85 the relationship went south.
