  • For fuck sake will you women shut the fuck up, do you think Eric wakes up in the morning and worries that Joe can play faster and phrase better then he can now? No he doesnt because thats what the blues is you just dont care what other people think so shuty up listen to the fucking music! rant over

  • Top guitarist ... (anyone notice Sgt Wilson on drums)

  • @evsupp2011 Sgt. Wilson? That's the amazing Gilson Lavis! (though the resemblance is remarkable...)

  • Bonamassa is the real deal when it comes to guitar, the licks just flow outta his fingers and it makes my brain heart sometimes trying to copy them.

  • My God

  • Good guitarist, should leave the singing to someone else.

  • Who's that black woman dancing?

  • Comment removed

  • why are both the top rated comments about idiots on the internet, LOOK AT BONAMASSA'S TALENT GOD DAMNIT

  • Seeing this guy next month!

    Can't wait!

  • Music for people that play Golf or work in Accounts!

  • GRANDPA DRUMMER FTW! Around 2.45

  • Bonnamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and on some levels John Mayer will keep the blues alive for the next 40 years

  • @CMSpida

Don't overlook Philip Sayce, man. He's much better than Mayer.

  • The band rocks. Joes guitar work is outstanding. And that beautiful creature that appears briefly at around 1:37 isn't bad either. Nice vid!

  • Got to love the drummer here

  • @willzer808' The drummer is Gilson Lavis ex-Squeeze and now house drummer with Jools Holland...

  • Why people are comparing bonamassa and malmsteen i have no idea, they arre two completely different players and are at opposite ends of the spectrum, bonamassa is not a "shredder" he is a blues rock guitar player, who by the way (can fucking play!) and malmsteen is a machine and has built up his guitar playing style by making "shredding" his main technique. please stop comparing these two because they are nothing alike!

  • Malmsteen mindlesly shreds the same 3 scales over and over and calls it art.

  • @vynilvoltaik Malmsteen is a mildless shredder that plays mostly utter shite. We'd agree on that. Trust me though the guy can play and it a travesty that he doesn't. Listen to the first few bars of electric playing on Black Star and a few bars of playing he does on his album Eclipse e.g. Save Our Love solo. 99% shit, 1% genuinely legendary playing. This is Bonamassa's video though and he's shit hot.

  • bet your a smack head from the back streets of liverpool .... shredmaster ... yea right so why arn't you on in his place ... goon!!!

  • and as far as ... you've been taught by jimmy page.... yea m8 and my mothers ghandi ... thick head!!!

  • shredmaster your a complete and utter tit, the man entertains... full stop, shut the f@ck up you green eyed monster!!!!

  • Jools looks coked up on this haha.

  • Worst guitar players ever ! his technique is shocking and he bums E minor pentatonic, he has no soul or passion or skiil and technique to his playing unlike Bonamassa, Satriani, Moore, or Gilbert. You are blinded by the 'hype' around Slash which has been created by "non guitarists" who "think" hes amazing when hes not. u have no clue so fuck off @shredmaster100

  • @ibanezman04 The 'hype' around Slash comes from people enjoying listening to the music he wrote. People seem to forget about this when they talk about guitarists.

  • @benjaste sure , people might like his music undoubtedly, but it doesnt make him a technically good guitar player?

  • Comment removed

  • HHAHAHAHAHA @shredmaster100 ive seen all the hate comments about you, scrolled down to ur most recent comment and i read one line, which included; "Guns n Roses are the best band since Led Zeppelin" and "Slash is the best guitarist ever" and "Slash is as fast as yngwie malmsteen", mate u have no fuckin clue, dont even mention G&R in the same sentence as Zeppelin! Slash is only famous coz he sticks the guitar in his crotch and coz he wears a hat, he is actually technically one of the.......

  • Sick!

  • 1:36 says it all

  • Hey Joe...cool slick appearance!

  • shredwanker100. You've just made yourself look a right mug with that comment. If the players at your pub were this good why aren't they on Jools Holland or selling millions of records? What a grade A bell-end you are. #jealouswankerwhocantplaytheguitar

  • JOE is one fine guitar player, I seen some dum arse make a comment like, HE IS NOT A TRUE BLUES PLAYER CAUSE HE HAS NOT LIVED IT LOL, what a load of fcking bollocks, if he would have lived on the streets and played blues, he would still sound the same, how U live does not make u a good or bad blues player, dedication & hard work does, just cause he is not a junky does not mean he is not a true bluesman, he is a blues player, and a very very good one, deal with it

  • He has so unique style with his solo.

  • jeesus

  • That woman in the red dress puts the ass in Bonamassa!

  • Joe Bonamassa RIPS!!! Whom ever this negative clown is, it must be envy. Because he can't play as good as Joe. Because if he could, we'd be listening to him right now. Not reading some of his mundane, asinine childish remarks.

  • STOP COMPARING! Why can't there be more than one fucking immense blues song writer and guitarist? THERE CAN BE! STOP BEING FUSSY CUNTS!

  • this guy sucks stevie ray vaughan and eric clapton rape this guy and his afterlife

  • @shredmaster100 What would eric clapton say about that?

I'm sure his respecting this guy.

  • he is a good blues guitarist just i miss stevie ray vaughan he was in my opinion the best white blues player who ever lived

  • bonamassa does suck badly why is he on tv usless american another srv wannabe everyone knows the best players are english eric clapton jimmy page jeff beck david gilmour slash steve howe brian may toni iommi ritchie blackmore paul kossoff have i made my point yet because there are many more and if they were a football team they would kick americas ass

  • @shredmaster100

You really are a complete tit, aren't you? Bonamassa himself thinks that the greatest guitarists are British/Irish - he admires Kossoff, Gallagher, Moore, Page, Clapton and the like and models his blues style on them. He's NOT a typical American shredder like Petruuci, van Halen and Vai. I still admire Satriani and SRV, though I prefer Gimour, Latimer, Hackett and Rothery.

He's also one of the most technically brilliant players I've ever seen.

  • JB is the real deal. Bonamassa's father taught him how to play guitar,Danny Gatton was just a bonus. He started playin' when he was 4.

  • bonamassa is the real deal , that fella who commented first is the clapton wannabee, "shredmaster" be f@cked!!! try putting your guitar where your mouth is sucker!!!!

  • i am the only one on youtube who had guitar lessons from jimmy page as long as you dont guess who i am thats fine and i shouldve mentioned jimmy earlier he has more talent in his little finger than boner could get in a million years as my freind axl would say suck on that bitch

  • @shredmaster100 I'm Jeff Beck's long lost secret brother. See, I can make up shit on the internet too.

  • what you on drugs m8 i didnt say anything about jeff beck and jimmy appears for lessons at the royal guitar institute london thats where i first learnt to play guitar and brian may teaches there on occasions as well look it up if you want and have you never heard of robert tydor he was my first professional tutor hes played with deep purple and the stones now lives in ladbroke grove london and he will kick anyones ass on guitar m8

  • @shredmaster100

One thing we DO agree on is that Bob Tydor is an excellent player. But I don't remember him ever playing with Deep Purple. He's played on the London pub scene for a long, long time but he was never in DP to my knowledge. When was this?

  • he told me it was in the late 60,s that he did seesion work mind you he was drunk as usual when he told me this so he might have been mistaken because i used to go up the pub with him a few years ago aswell when hed come and teach me but all i know is he taught me very well on the guitar and is a good m8 just havent had a chance to see him due to having no transport where i live my sisters old boyfriend scot was good on guitar but bob kicked hiss ass he didnt stand a chance

  • @shredmaster100 Ah well at least his tone doesn't suck dude... and he can probably spell correctly too... Hmmm...

  • come on man you couldnt seriously compare this nobody to someone like stevie ray vaughan or buddy guy and have u heard of a player called roy buchanon he never got the recognition he deserved and he could have kicked this guys ass

  • @CosmicNed Yeah man ur so right. It is said that tone is mostly fingers. I would much rather listen to a player with great tone than someone who has a lot of technique yet cannot match it with a sound that pierces my inner core.

  • @holboroman were U born when SRV was alive, I was 13 when he died, and had been playing guitar for a year or so, & was trying to play little wing like him, anyway long story short, srv was the best blues player period, I liked his playing better than Hendrix, SRV was much more listenable, what I mean by that is, I could stick his CD on and be in my element, were as I would not do that with hendrix, but I could watch Hendrix live, as that's a hole different experience, I seen srv live in the 80s

  • Comment removed

  • @holboroman I have am of the same belief, at the end of the day anybody can play blues, and U don't have 2 take drugs and live on the street's 2 B good at it, joe is an amazing guitar player, some guy on here said he is a fake blues player lol I know the type of guy who make's such a comment, the kind that knows nothing worth knowing about music, music 2 me is a great way to express yourself, & joe sure is good at doing so, he makes me feel good when I hear him, that 2 me is what it's all about

  • @UKToneKing I couldn't agree with you more. It's amazing that there are so many opiniated guys who "believe" they know who the "best" is......... their comments are not worth responding to. they appear to be a little over agitated and isn't the purpose of enjoying music to calm you down, chill you out a little.Hey man, the more palyers you neg, the less scope you have for listening and enjoyment. Im grateful that Joe B is giving me a little more to enjoy.

  • @holboroman I it is man, I try to listen to as many people as I possible can, as it only adds to yout own playing, I tell U a really good blues player to look up, rory gallagher, he is dead now, put he was one hell of a blues man, he could make his guitar sing, I watched his vid's for years, & still do not know how he is getting some of the sound's, he does a cool think with a slide, and U would almost thing he is not playing electric, put he is & he uses a tele, will post that one if I find it

  • @UKToneKing Well the day I read in a guitar magazine that Rory had passed away (I must have missed it if it was printed in the papers) I was very badly affected. Yeah he is totally one guitar hero and I fully agree with what you say about his playing. As for how he got his sounds, I would say a lot of it came from his fingers and/or picking style. To be honest I cannot recall how he uses his fingers. I would love to achieve a tone similar to his. The search goes on................

  • way to tell them m8 srv is my hero best guitar player ive ever heard and a lot of these bonamassa fans are just trolls dont even bother with them i bet most of them are still at school lol

  • Comment removed

  • @shredmaster100 He opened for BB King when he was 12, must have something going for himself, That's same age John Petrucci was when he first started playing and joe was playing professional level performances.

  • dont worry m8 ive just seen someone on youtube who can kick everyones ass look up a player called michael angelo batio a song called speed kills this guy is the guitar god

  • @shredmaster100 ... michael angelo batio. ffs, the guys a tool with far too much ego and any skill he has is wasted by his head being so far up his own ass. All he does is shred for ages, as impressive as that is he needs to get over himself, get some variation and be in a band that is about more than just fast guitar playing.

  • i get what u mean about batio hes a bit like yngwie malmsteen but roy buchanon was one of the best blues players ive seen just a shame he never got as big as clapton or the other players of the time

  • @shredmaster100 Yngwie is alright but still got that same problem. This is coming from me though, and i'm more of a prog keyboard player rather than the metal bassist/guitarist of my mid teens. Never heard any Roy Buchanan, might check out sometime

  • ok m8 you check out a song called roys bluz 1976 on youtube hes using techniques on the guitar that werent supposed to be around back then its great

  • @Shellewell ....don't waste your time with Roy Buchanan, just go straight to Danny Gatton, who came from the same town as Buchanan but is in a totally different league!! Ironically Gatton taught Bonamassa when he was young!! Bonamassa went on to get totally over exposed, whilst Gatton a TRUE guitar master blew his brains out in his garage in 1994!! Bonamassa was a true prodigy when in Bloodline, but is BORING and a Clapton / Johnson clone now!!

  • @shredmaster100 Please tell me where I can see ANY video of Roy Buchanan displaying himself as 'one of the best blues players' you've seen?? The guy is TOTALLY overrated, and has only acquired 'legend' status since he topped himself in a jail cell whilst pissed!! Danny Gatton all the way every day, no competition!! I don't get the buchanan worship thing at all??????????????

  • if buchanon wasnt any good why would gary moore take the time to learn the messiah will come again if you cant feel the emotion in that song you are as human as data from star trek and ive got a new nick name for joe its boner suck on that

  • @shredmaster100 I mean, i admit that Batio can play, i just wish he wouldn't most of the time, or at least confine it and let someone else take the spotlight for a couple of bars. I can't get on board with writing a song of just 6 minutes indulgent soloing on a guitar with two necks in a v shape, it's the height of being full of yourself. One reason i turned away from straight-down the line metal into prog and some other things like blues etc is because i didn't like the egos on people like him

  • @shredmaster100 Also i like that the other players get a turn to shine in something like Dream Theater, the music isn't written with the sole purpose of letting the guitarist show off as much as possible

  • @shredmaster100 since when was music about kicking each others asses?

  • im a bit old fashioned i used to play guitar in the days when u came up against another player you would pull every trick out of the book 2 better them guess the competition has gone nowadays theres too much respect for players who dont have a good reportouire and i know every trick in the book tapping/pinched harmonics/sweep picking/alternatepicking/lightining fast hammer ons and pull offs and whammy bar techniques and steve vai eats players like this for breakfast

  • @shredmaster100 well i'm sorry to say, music is not a competition, it never should be. I think if you play guitar to be better than someone else your doing it for the wrong reasons. Joe has great tone, and some admirable licks, he plays because he loves music not because he wants to be "the best".

  • check out steve vai playing paganinis 5th caprice joe could never play at that level or speed its the solo in the movie crossroads steve vai deliberatly plays it wrong at the end because its part of the film but vai was the first guitarist to transcribe this classical piece from violin to guitar players like joe and clapton couldnt play it in their dreams

  • @shredmaster100 Yes ive heard it, its fantastically technical and fast! But playing guitar is not all about being fast. Take BB King for example, he expresses so much feeling into one note, more feeling than steve vai puts into a million. Which is why BB King is considered one of the 'greats'. To me, that is much more atractive to listen to and to watch.

  • @shredmaster100 Cool story bro!

  • @shredmaster100 He's writing music and playing it to express his feelings... just because he sounds similar to Clapton at times it doesn't mean he's devoid of all talent. And I'm glad you have people in your life who can play his songs upside down. Maybe they will all sound like him so we can call them clones and talentless too...

  • @shredmaster100

Ladies and Gentleman, if you ever wondered "What's THE perfect example of idiocy?"

    I present to you... SHREDMASTER100.

  • ha ha ha ha that made me laugh good 1 man

  • are you famous? are you a millionaire? are you one of the greatest guitar players alive today? no? shut your face

  • how do u know man who i am i could be jimmy page for all you know or the ghost of jimi hendrix WOOOOOOOOOO and by the way in the words of the great stone cold steve austin WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT

  • @shredmaster100 you must have a pretty sweet local pub

  • check out bob tydor playing a song called space on youtube this guy taught me how to play guitar 10 years ago he looks like joe satriani and replaced paul kossoff in the 70,s you can look him up on facebook aswell he lives in ladbroke grove london and gives guitar lessons he sometimes plays in a pub called the globe in brentford if you want to see him play

  • @shredmaster100 LMAO, ROTF, Slash? Slash? OMFG that's too funny, I laughed my ass of with that little comment, Slash, lol. Just the fact that you mentioned Slash of all people in the same sentence as Clapton, Beck, Page, and Gilmore shows that you are obviously a mental midget that does not know the first thing about playing Guitar. Slash, too fucking funny, thanks for making my day. Slash, lol.

  • watch slash and myles kennedy made in stoke u will get the idea of slash,s greatness and if u dont like guns n roses u are deaf they were the greatest rock band since led zeppelin and slash is as fast as yngwie malmsteen today bonamassa is a tool he is a clapton clone and even though hes still in his 40,s plays like an oap and if u want a guitar duel all i have to say to u m8 is the name stevie ray vaughan forget anyone else he owns all comers

  • He's got X factor

  • he sucks

  • That drummer is one the coolest thing i have ever seen !

  • thought he was playing crossroads at the start

  • @bigmangiff i would have preferred crossroad and let joe rip

  • The drummer steals the show lol!

  • joe and jools! could it get any better?

  • He aint bad is he!

  • How do you get that good? seriously,God

  • @CW96ACDC You use a Marshall Vintage Modern 2466 100 Watt like he does :D You'll get good using one of those!

  • @CW96ACDC You practice-not by buying something massively expensive. Its all about practice

  • OMG Joe Bonamassa is an ILLUMINATI 3:24

  • @HolyGK dont be an idiot.

  • @HolyGK why???

  • @Luukeeeehh It was a joke, it's just that he is doing the devil sign with his hand, nothin more...

  • @olivierjaquet ooo hahaha :p illuminati is everywhere

  • Everybody's ravin' about how great a guitarist he is, which is all fine and dandy and 100% correcto, but MY what a great voice! His vocals on Black Country Communion albums send shivers down my back. So good!

  • did any1 else notice the drummer at 2:46? is like some old man wearing a tweed suit. that is so fucking cool.

  • @HocVirtus That is SO FUCKING cool. Hope he keeps on rockin

  • @HocVirtus The drummer is the drummer from Squeeze, Gilson Lavis. Has stuck by Jools for many years so he is pretty good I guess.

  • not really into skinny small women, but damn that girl at 1.39 moves so well .

  • Sounds a lot like cross roads riff to me

  • @ashnicholls it is. theres another one on youtube with an interview with jools and he says crapton is one of his biggest influences. yet he walks all over crapton talent wise

  • YOU NEED 9 MINUTES FOR THIS SONG!!!

  • I love his signature LP, which in fact it´s just the reissue of the first LP 1957. A few had the black parts.

  • Jools is still a beast on piano

  • man, i dont care about the song, i just love that crazy old man rocking out back there, really.

  • obviously jo is amazing... but despite that fact, the drummer, who appears to have like50 or 55 years really rocks on. Ammazing, better than any drummer of 20-25 years of today bands

  • @hungerstriker27 It's Pete Thomas I think (from the Attractions) whom I once played with many years ago!

  • he looks like cary ewles

  • How is this not a ripoff of Crossroads?

  • Hes loosing a lot of weight and looks tired I hope hes okey..

  • seen him live when he was in wales, the best guitar player ive ever seen live, note perfect everytime! keep up the great work joe!

  • god dam that drummers goin nuts..

  • @benmols, I was not addressing you, but sure you are free toreply to my comment. Now dont get me wrong, he is a shit singer he has no power in his voice he sounds like a weak little sparrow, his guitar playing has no feeling in it. now you proabably have a different opinion than that, im just letting you know what you think is not important to me. so go ahead and be predictable and come back with some insults and cheap jibes, I dont really care. Have a great weekend.

  • @buzzmund his guitar playing has no feeling???!! hahahahaha are u outta your mind!

  • @buzzmund your a cock smoker! take it you dont play? or like tommy tanking to much! twat!!!

  • @daison53 go fuck yourself.

  • Anybody doubting Joe's singing, search for "Blues Deluxe Joe Bonamassa Denver"

That will sort you out nicely. Ive sat at the Royal Albert Hall and watched him sing without a Microphone, completely sending the place silent and blowing is away. Amazing. He was either tired or ill in this video, but despite that, his voice isn't bad in this video. - LIKE THE COMMENT SO IT GOES TO THE TOP!

  • shit singer, guitar very basic

  • @buzzmund HAHAHHA YOU KNOW SHIT ALL

  • His signing is great, i can't sing that high and I'm sure most of you can't either. Joe is entertaining as fuck and that's why they pay him the big bucks. What a delivery!

  • It's great to see a young guitarist like Joe Bonamassa. The guy is terrific. BUT the vocals, not so great. I think he should plan a career like Carlos Santana or Jeff Beck and link up with a hot band. The guy simply cannot sing. The guitar work- fantastic, can't say enough good things. But the vocals simply aren't there.

  • @juscurious No, he can sing, he was very tired in this performance. He has one of the best blues voices Ive ever heard. Ive heard him sing in the Royal ALbert hall without a Microphone and the guy blew the place away. Powerfull and Soulfull singing vioce. Search for "blues deluxe joe bonamassa Denver" and then watch the first video.

  • Who's the drummer ? He's super cool.

  • He seems really nervous.. =/

  • @DaveRingle He's kind of a shy guy...grew up kind of fat and has a longish tongue that he had to learn to talk around. For a stage performer he's not really typical. Plus Jules Holland just called him an amazing guitar player and the song he's about to do isn't really about the solos.

  • @kerranz Yeah except he's been playing on TV since he was 14, Never had a bad gig and had just played the albert hall and released a DVD of it.. So really... He shouldnt be nervous.

  • slash's favourite guitarist :)

  • sounds awefully like crossroads in a in the key of G its even in the same timing i think.

  • 0:45

    BUSTED (Messenger)

  • davulcuya dikkat derim...

  • huh, GREAT!!!

  • holy crap! Joe is great, and i love his stuff... but that drummer is freakin' awesome!!

  • im Seeing him Saturday at Magna Rotherham UK!!! WOOOOOP gonna be amazing

  • when i saw this on tv, thats when i discovered him. thank fuck i didn't change the channel!

  • We were woken up this morning at 5.30am by a phone call from my son to say our daughter-in-law had just given birth to a girl........heard this guy on Richard Allinson (Radio 2) - never heard JB before - this guy can play!!!!

  • P.s. the Hughie Green drummer is in fact Gilson Lavis, ex-drummer with Squeeze

  • Its cool how Jules Holland made this track sound so different. Awesome.

  • Watched this on the telly...absolute killer stuff. Could watch that Hughie Green lookalike drummer all day long

  • blimey .. he IS really good ... !!! No hype and BS .. just does it !! Good man

  • Amazing guitarist, amazing pianist and that amazing drummer :p.

  • yeah the bassplayer ain`t bad either

  • Dave Swift!

  • This guy has only one flaw - weak voice. Everything else, top notch.

  • @kualj thats the mix .. watch him liove on other shows he has a huge voice normally ... maybe he is tired here

    #

  • Very talented. Don't know who to compare him with. Marvelous

  • About time Joe started getting some mainstream recognition. He was already incredible at age 12 when Danny Gatton took him under his wing, & then on the Bloodline album when he was 17.

  • Saw Joe last April in Reading, PA and he blew the place away! Going to see him in Harrisburg this April--I can hardly wait!!

  • reminds me of claptons crossroads

  • the new SRV

  • Drummer is fucking rocking it
