Seriously, the bashers are stupid. She has a great speaking voice; clearly, they hired her because she could do what they asked for. If she was an awful voice actress and wasn't able to perform, they wouldn't have hired her at all. It's not HER fault that Vanille's voice sounded that way. (I actually loved Vanille.) But if you should bashing anyone, it should be the directors who told her to do that. Vanille doesn't sound a THING like Georgia does in real life.

@linxZuraith The katakana reads as Vanira which would translate to Vanilla in English. However, they decided to go with Vanille most likely because Vanilla would sound so ridiculous being voiced in English. Not to mention Vanille sounds like an actual name as opposed to a random noun that the Japanese think sounds cool and exotic. Of course that didn't stop them with Lightning, Snow, and Fang, but I think Vanilla would be even more ridiculous.
