It took me 5 episodes to accept the new characters, then I watched season 5 in 3 days. It was still pretty good, but of course, can't beat season 1 and 2
Great choice of music! I loved Sliders, it was such an original idea and the possibilities for the show were endless. It's such a shame that the structure of the show fell apart so fast... Sliders would have been the greatest TV show ever made if they could only have kept the stories grounded enough to maintain sense of reality that the first two seasons accomplished so well. walmart, target. kmart and best buy all have sliders season 4 for like near 40 to 50 bucks. but if u go to the fye or buy site, they have season 4 for 20 and 23 bucks. i just got mine from buy

@Acheron1990 did u know that it was actually the wrong prof was the one who died in season 3 . the real one is still trapped on that world. the creator finally revealed it about 2 years ago. but in a few eps u can tell he was clearly the bad one

Didn't see the point of making Quinn from another world then throwing the fact he had a brother into the mix. The romantic feeling between Wade and Quinn then shattered and poof she's kromagg food. I'd like to pistol whip the writers for that. The Professor was like a father to the other sliders even Remmy. I like to think the episode where they don't know which Arturo was real. They ended up getting the bad one and the real one got stuck on that world, made his timer and slid home.
Seasons one and two were great, although I wish they had been full seasons like seasons three. Season three was good until the professor died. After that the show wasn't the same in quality. This is a nice video. The music is okay, although it was not from the original show. Some of the scenes included were from when Sliders was really great.
To be honest quinn killed arturo, hes to blame because they could of gone home straight away he had Dr Jensons timer, but instead he wanted to help total strangers. Allthe way through seasons 1 to the end of 2 he kept telling wade, remmy and arturo dont get involved with other people from different worlds, and when they finally get to go home, he turns his back on his freinds who have basically been his family for 19 months and decided to help some random strangers, and now Arturo is dead.
@sniff28 I agree. What he SHOULD have done was let the three go home and went back to help if he wanted to help so much. He shouldnt have forced them to stick with him.
to be honest Season 4 was amazing even though arturo and wade had gone we got to see new characters Maggie and Colin, from season 1 to the end of 4 i enjoyed every last bit of it. Everynight i watch 3 episodes and have to say sliders is the best thing ever to be shown on screen incredible is the word. thats why ive started collecting things like trading cards comics ive got a replica now 2 and ive got about 6 original photos and season 1-4 on dvd plus i have season 1 on it's own.

I love sliders so much. I just recently started to get into it again and realized how much I actually missed the show. The cast was wonderful in seasons 1 and 2. Then they killed off the Professor somewhere in the middle of season 3 and it started to go downhill from there. I hated Maggie, Mallory, and hated Diana. I also hated that they killed off Quinn and his brother. But I did like Colin. Charlie's character brought a lot of fun to the group.
Agreed, especially Kari sucked, small fake boobs suck. If your going to get fake knockers, at least make them big. Because of behind the scenes stuff they killed off all the good characters with a vengence, look what they did to Wade and the professor was turned into a spastic before he was shot
It's not the same anymore , the story was about 4 freinds who went on an adventure trying to find there way back home and it used to be fun , but now its not that anymore its just people travelling to different worlds after quinn arturo and wade left , it's crap now . And after the professer died , the show lost it's feeling and everyone became grumpy , and they started making the worlds with weird creatures , zombies , vampires , ape / humans , and weird dragons and warlocks . AAAAAAAAArrrgh !!

I remember watching sliders years ago with my grandad , the good years . About 2 months ago i remembered the series and decided to buy them again to watch them. Suit yourself. Double Cross is a great episode, as is The Guardian and a couple of others. But when well over 2/3 of episode are crap, you have a bad season! Season Four had 15 or so good episodes (at least ones that I thought did the series justice), and none of them had silly b-movie plots or poor cgi monsters like, erm... Season Three!
I thought a lot of them had silly b-movie plots. I admit that the second half of the third season was terrible, but the first half was pretty good. Season 4 had too much Kromagg BS, and overall only had a few good episodes. Also, Colin was a terrible character.

"Asylum" and "The Alternateville Horror" are some of my favorite episodes and easily on par with S1 and 2. And the Quinn/Rembrandt/Maggie/Colin team is my second favorite after the original gang. :)
Yep, I felt they turned around Maggie's character from her awful season 3 personality, and while Charlie O'Connell wasn't a great actor, he added a quirky dynamic to the group as the fish out of water. I kinda hoped other fans would see how much better season 4 is after the DVD release, but I guess not. I know it started to fall apart towards the end, but at least the first half of the season was solid sci-fi that respected the original Sliders concept.
I will always have a special place in my hearts for sliders. Damn the people who cancelled it. This a very compassionate and touching look back on this great series, congrats to the person who made it.
I watched this on NetFlix. Season 1-3 were excellent season 4 was a let down and i cant bare watching season 5 it so bad. Kromag was interesting but badly written would have been better off without that side plot. if season 4 would have been like season 1-3 i belive this show would have had a few extra seasons. o well i can just imagine season 1-3 were the only eps.
I did love this show, I own the fox seasons on DVD.
One thing I don't get, endless possibilities you'd never make it back. You could slide into a world where someone you'll never meet got a coke one afternoon rather than a pepsi at a BP in a town you'd never visit. Just find something homelike enough and stay there.
The kromaggs killed this show for me. They should have never ever been made part of this could be amazing series.

he got cancer, he didn't quit, the writers were fired or lost their funding, and ie the network support and sold to no writer central you non [yet] obsessed fan of the best show ever, its alright to get sick, (like davies) but check out your story sometimes, it might hurt but at least you'll know you didn't give up getting the story
Rubbish,Davies did not have cancer.The reason he left the show was he fell out with one of the writers.Apparently one of the writers did not like Davies,infact Davies said something inappropriate to this writers wife at a cast party.Shortly after he was axed.This is from the horses mouth from Davies and another one of the writers,infact if you google it and search hard enough you will find the actual interview.None of this is a rumour,unlike the suggestion Davies has or had cancer.

A Fox exec had a grudge with John Rhys-Davies. It's a shame he had to ruin one of the best shows ever because of his personal feelings toward an actor.

The show went shit after Arturo died. They replaced him with bad actress and the episodes started to become movie rip offs.

Every time i watch this show it makes me wanna do some physics. Like the show and love the concept but why they always gotta get into other ppls buisness? Thats the shit thats blowin me.

I remember watching sliders years ago with my grandad , the good years . About 2 months ago i remembered the series and decided to buy them again to watch them. The first season has some amazing episodes in and i enjoyed everyone , im gunna buy season 2 soon and 3 to see if i can remember them , i miss this show and the original cast , it's ashame they took it and destroyed the cast and made the episodes crap.

Time travel is travelling back in time to when ever like the cowboy days , medievil days or seein the titanic sink you can also travel into the future aswell. Travelling through alternate dimentions is where you are in the same city or town but it's different and nothing is the same ,theres a catch to it , see the difference ,no you dont ,because your fukin stupid

I would rather do time travel , atleast if you did time travel you could go and change things in your life and you could change other things and see titanic sinking lol , but jumping through a worm hole to the same city but a different dimention , seriously i wouldn't do that , you could end up on a world thats bad or on a world were you get put in jail , you will never see your family freinds ever again because you cant travel back , if they could do time travel they would travel back..

Well, He did step in front of the bullet intended for Quinn. Perhaps the alternate Arturo idea just didn't develop for the writers.
One of my favorite shows of all time and space.

@battlestar08 wasn't just that killing the professor was stupid though, ratings left when professor left the show, but even worst ratings died when Quinn and Wayed left, I love Kari wuhrer shes very beautiful etc.. but she can't keep the show alive without the 3 main characters, Remy was only good as part of the crew now it felt like he was the leader and that wasn't good enough sorry in order of popularity what killed the show 1: Quinn 2: Professor 3:Wayed 4: the hot Kari wuhrer 5: Remmy

i mean it's sliders and i love all 88 episodes but after arturos and wades missing was the show crap.but season 4 with collin and the family mallory storyline was saved the show. but Quinn's and Collins exit of the show, was the end. the new quinn is totaly a nerd.her is funny in many episodes, but the old quinn are the best. and the episode with wade was to cry and hard for me.SCIFI Channel:Give Sliders a real end: Is rembrand dead or not.what is that for a whole end for so a super series

Suit yourself. Double Cross is a great episode, as is The Guardian and a couple of others. But when well over 2/3 of episode are crap, you have a bad season! Season Four had 15 or so good episodes (at least ones that I thought did the series justice), and none of them had silly b-movie plots or poor cgi monsters like, erm... Season Three!

I thought a lot of them had silly b-movie plots. I admit that the second half of the third season was terrible, but the first half was pretty good. Season 4 had too much Kromagg BS, and overall only had a few good episodes. Also, Colin was a terrible character.

Ah, I thought so! You've been defending Season 4 for as long as I can remember... deserves it too, it gets way too much flack.
"Asylum" and "The Alternateville Horror" are some of my favorite episodes and easily on par with S1 and 2. And the Quinn/Rembrandt/Maggie/Colin team is my second favorite after the original gang. :)

Yep, I felt they turned around Maggie's character from her awful season 3 personality, and while Charlie O'Connell wasn't a great actor, he added a quirky dynamic to the group as the fish out of water. I kinda hoped other fans would see how much better season 4 is after the DVD release, but I guess not. I know it started to fall apart towards the end, but at least the first half of the season was solid sci-fi that respected the original Sliders concept.

I watched this on NetFlix. Season 1-3 were excellent season 4 was a let down and i cant bare watching season 5 it so bad. Kromag was interesting but badly written would have been better off without that side plot. if season 4 would have been like season 1-3 i belive this show would have had a few extra seasons. o well i can just imagine season 1-3 were the only eps.

I did love this show, I own the fox seasons on DVD.
One thing I don't get, endless possibilities you'd never make it back. You could slide into a world where someone you'll never meet got a coke one afternoon rather than a pepsi at a BP in a town you'd never visit. Just find something homelike enough and stay there.
The kromaggs killed this show for me. They should have never ever been made part of this could be amazing series.

Seasons 1 to 4 are currently for sale on Ebay,1 to 4 are the only seasons to be released on dvd as of yet.Check out Ebay if any of ya r intrested.I just had a look myself and the listings is currently at £10 for all 4 seasons 2nd hand.I know all this as i've just been looking to see if i could see season 5 for sale.But as i say thats yet to be released on dvd,although it can be downloaded (legally)

he got cancer, he didn't quit, the writers were fired or lost their funding, and ie the network support and sold to no writer central you non [yet] obsessed fan of the best show ever, its alright to get sick, (like davies) but check out your story sometimes, it might hurt but at least you'll know you didn't give up getting the story

Rubbish,Davies did not have cancer.The reason he left the show was he fell out with one of the writers.Apparently one of the writers did not like Davies,infact Davies said something inappropriate to this writers wife at a cast party.Shortly after he was axed.This is from the horses mouth from Davies and another one of the writers,infact if you google it and search hard enough you will find the actual interview.None of this is a rumour,unlike the suggestion Davies has or had cancer.

Due to the blocks placed on the writers, see who wrote the first three seasons and compare it to who wrote the last two, the difference is clear.
