  • I really desire to start doing this but im kind of old i sincerelly do not know how to start

    does anybody have any advice?

  • @ganyalf First you Run or Jog, and start to swing your leg left, and right. x] and there you go, oh BTW you have to study your balance so you wouldn't fall on your butt, or face. :/ It's hurt. LOL

  • @ganyalf Buy a pair of skates and put them on.

  • dam thats a perfect place to practice skating, were is it?

  • Hello! Nice location! I want to skate there. I skate on Bont 3pt too. Watch my videos.

  • Ahhhhhhhh... the Swiss country side. Nothing like it.

  • In fact I think I have skated there. Near Bremgarten.

    connect.garmin.com/activity/34402963

  • That looks like Switzerland.

  • Hi fsigg,

Hope you are now doing an even better DP in 2011 then in 2009!

Compared to your 2006 DP attempt video, this 2009 version is a HUGE improvement. Anyone who watch the 2009 version can say you are obviously Double Pushing.

You seemed to have gotten the rhythm and timing pretty good, as well as your outside edge setdown.

Like ismike was saying, you can introduce the D-shape recovery. I also think you can improve your heel carve too, which comes with doing the D-shape recovery well.

  • nice to have so nice pavement like this guy

  • i also bought a semi race, quite nice. :)

  • gay song but good technique do

  • O.M.G ;D roll4life ;P

  • It looks like Mary Poppins is going to be skating next to you any minute.

  • r those the bont sime race or the bont cheetahs im getting the cheetahs they will be here like in a week

  • Yes, I agree-great video. But it seems that your right foot looks less stable than your left when the camera rolls around to the front....but you are where I want to be.....I wished that I had that path where I live........post more

  • That's one hell of a nice location to skate! Where I am, there are nothing but roads that are used by cars driven by f-ing maniacs!

  • @masmddds the best places for skating are in Holland

  • @masmddds i dont know if you know buenos aires (argentina) but here.... its pretty damm full of cars AND I LIKE IT *_* gosh skating throu maniacs coudlnt be a better experience

  • the push looks great on the right leg, but the left looks like you are not setting up behind the right skate the same.... is it because of the slope of the course? do you like those skates? I want to upgrade to them!

  • Hei there, nice video, where did you film it? what's your opinion of semi-race boots?

  • Good! Your technique is improving nicely!

You do need to introduce a D-shaped recovery though. Your skate should finish the sideways push, then be lifted off the ground and looped around and far behind your body. The toe of this airborne skate should point down to the centre of the earth and slighty inwards, before coming forwards to set down underneath your body.

Good T-stop - can you do that on the other leg? That's important for balance and thus speed.

  • @lsmike if you want to look for a good technique, look up for Joey Mantia or Chad hedrix...if you liked this guy's "technique"

  • @pedrozimon I suspect English isn't your first language, yes? It seems you've misunderstood what I wrote, at least I hope so. I was simply offering no more than praise for the improvement I saw in his skating, and suggesting further improvements he could look for. I'm a coach with LSST.

  • For those of us who are learning, trying to improve the stride, videos like these are very helpful.

    Thanks for posting.
