One time when my Acer Notebook was broken I shipped it in for repair. They repaired it and sent it back the same day they receivied it. 48 hours after I had sent it I held my working notebook in my hands. That fucking kicks ass !! Seriously...why does not every company do their job like this ?
Na das mit der Alubeschichtung auf dem Deckel hat sich ja leider nicht bewahrheitet. Hab selbst grad einen 1830T mit i5-430UM im Test, daas jetzt zur Einführung sogar 699 kostet. Insgesamt aber ein sehr schönes Notebook, wenn auch erstmal ohne UMTS-Modem.
@MiniTechNet 550€ is a bit too expensive to me. Especially when you can get SU7300 with 4GB RAM Lenovos for less than 500€. Acer do a great job though, for people who aren't looking for the best inexpensive laptops but rather a really nice notebook under 1000€ - timelineX is THE best choice.
we have the ones with i3s at school they are horrible

@haxx49 Yes you can. i5's can handle modern games, but for the highend ones it can't play with all the details on.

It can. Crysis 2 i'm not sure about but it can atleast play it on some lower settings most likely. as for the Battlefield games i'm sure it can.

The i3 version will be $600 in USA, while the i5 will be $700. Not too bad.

I am still fighting over the urge to buy the olympic edition right now, but this changed my mind a bit.
I hope the price tag won't be over the roof compare to 1810t...
