  • @iStyleProduction it was the team shootout. There is one every year im not sure where this one is but they are mostly at six flags in new jersey

  • That's funny I was bowling a 205-210 average fifteen years ago using a zone ball and not two handed, but never used my thumb hole. It definitely generates far more spin. I thought I was weird for playing that way but now that some pros are doing it, maybe I wasn't so weird.

  • I'll pass from the traditional one hand of the old school game. And the key is "started when he was a little child and hasn't grown out of it". I'm wondering what that ends up doing to a persons' shoulder who hasn't started bowling like that at a young age an carried it forward?

  • why outside lol? the lane will get dry in minutes.,.

  • @iStyleProduction it was at an event at Disney World I believe.

  • Hey he's using a Hy-Road.

  • im a beginner at bowling and am interested. How far in should i put my two middle fingers

  • I bowl two handed also. I have been in a bowling camp for the weekend and the coachs and bowlers for the college team freaked out because I can throw a two-handed ball. I was given the nickname Belmo because apparently I can throw it like Jason Belmonte...... I'm a girl.... and I'm only 15..... How does that work out? JASON BELMONTE IS AMAZING!!!!!!

  • ive been bowling for like five to six years and ive switched to this style and my average has gone up about ten pins, not to mention i feel more comfotable bowing this way.

  • There are a few bowlers on the PBA that throw the traditional way that come pretty close to this amount of power. Tommy Jones is a good example. Sean Rash, Mike Fagon, Kenny Simard, all no strangers to power and revs. The only bowler I know who can get the same amount of revs as a 2 hander throwing the traditional way is Robert Smith.

  • My son Dustin out of Houston is a lefty, creates as much speed and rev's with one hand. Come see him in June in Reno.

  • and i know jason belmonte AUSSIE FUCKING PRIDE like to see some american cunt pull this shit thats how aussies do business

  • The sport of bowling is always changing. I love the twin grip, and I use it all the time along with the traditional style. People shouldn't criticize others about bowling styles; there isn't anything in the USBC rule book about only one way to bowl, so for all of those who are two-handed haters and are not flexible...SHUT UP!

  • 2handed bowling will hurt ur back!

  • @manmac82 but not you thumb

  • you guys sound like a bunch of retards

  • @vizsladoggie

    STFU NOOB

  • Why the hell is a professor of Astronomy talking about angles and pin action?

  • AWW, THAT'S HELL OF COOL..... (I gotta try that)

  • Unusual 2 handed style though, seems 2 stress da back a lot..but better than a spinner a helicopter style which is sick 2 watch cos no matter how u spin its only straight all da way doesnt hook...I guess only bowlers who couldnt 4get their beginner style will ended up throwing 2 handed..But still gd cos they still give life 2 a hook ball.

  • @80gerardtan it can hurt bowling this way after awhile, but if you stretch and relax it isn't too bad... my average shot from 184 to 222... its the release and positioning of your body at the beginning of the approach... its gonna hook so you want to go outside, the ball will take care of the rest

  • @honkindonkey Good advice bro, interesting technique..by da way i was wondering if belmonte was lets say 42 to 45yrs old i wonder is he ever gonna throw this kinda technique? Just imagine Pete Weber doing 2 handed bowling...

  • @80gerardtan Nope, I've been bowling normal for a while, and I'm just getting into 2 handed style, not that hard with practice. Also doing Back Up which i find is easier than 2 hand at the moment.

  • fuck this.use one hand

  • With this technique you can also make a "revearsed spin" so that the ball curves from left to right! I do it all the time on the 10 pin :D

  • @eMiLpR0p thats really simple to do with one hand thats the only way i can pick up a 10 pin either that or throw it 26mph

  • @76dced 26 miles an hour is way too fast. There is an optimal speed for the ball to roll. If it's much faster then whichever pin would sweep across the lane taking out the 10 pin and whatever else might be standing will, instead, fly over those pins and leave them standing.

  • @Hoopermazing i only throw that fast cause i break my wrist to throw straight at a ten pin, my average throw is 18.3, 560-580 rpm, i have CATS from reno to prove this, i thought itd be fun to do when i bowled at the USBC open in june

  • the one secret that belmo hasnt really told anyone that is the key to speed with two hands is what is in the second link. the skip step at the top of the swing gives most of the speed

  • a fast approach.

  • man there are no secrets what so ever.

I started spinning with only 2 fingers cuz it was easier. And i stayed that way, recently I bought a Storm second generation, and still use two fingers, and still get same results, just not same consistency.

  • the third link you gave doesn't work, and the fourth link says belmo uses his left hand to impart spin on the ball, which is incorrect. however, the second link was very usefull, thank you :)

  • He says he uses only one hand. But once you're his stage you can use both hands. I've seen it done and the theory.

  • Unusual way is always the best way :~)

  • i like the way two handed release.
