This theory is based on the fact that when a straight male and male homosexual brains were measured their thought processes showed different patterns.As for it being a mental disorder well this is easy to explain a homosexual mind is out of sync with their body. If they evolved to be g.ay then naturally so would their bodies.

Just because people are 'smart' enough to get into areas like psychiatry, medicine or science it does not necessarily make them smart enough to do their job in a totally objective way, sadly their egos can be shaped by social norms, morals, politics and religion, totally contrary to the actual basis of a lot of their professions. It does not seem that bad though, when you consider how things were even 50 years ago, thank god for common sense and the internet; the progress is encouraging.

Promiscuity in general has lead to the devaluation of the family unit and by proxy, moral standard. Progression should indicate improvement on society, not destruction of accepted behavior norms.

My observations are solely mine and have not affiliation with anything. I believe that you should be able to do whatever you want as long as it doesn’t impact anyone else. Well maybe we are more alike than it appeared at first, I do believe that people should be much more responsible for their actions, even to some extent more responsible for the impact on themselves and their own psychology but at the end of day reality is what it is and the only thing that works is compassionate beliefs, rather than forceful overly emotive ones. You should not be worried about drugs in your country but the way they are enforced and your prison system :)

I am by no means defending the APA. In 1973 the APA downgraded homosexuality from being a neurosis to being something that is as normal as being left handed. In fact, this is the first time that the APA changed something by vote instead of by a body of work.

@CatholicAmerican Another reason why she is right: A 33rd tooth that appeared in my mouth when I was 23 had to be pulled out not because it was unhealty but for aesthetic reasons. It is not common but does happen so it is 100% natural but not wanted for social conformity. Similarly small lumps called lipomas have grown on my skull and had them removed for cosmetic reasons. And it is hereditary (mom has had a few) related to HMG I-C gene. Natural and benign but stigmatized!
