the same shit was happening to me for like a year or something i just changed the slots of the RAM cards and problem fixed never happened again , thanks a lot dude , i would had never figured that out without your help .
@i3litzkrieg No problem mate, it took me a while to figure out as I was actually getting a display driver error code (kinda)... I actually stumbled on it by mistake. I left one of the sticks out by accident (not fully clicked in to the slot) and went to play Crysis 2... and noticed tat I didn't crash but my FPS/ performance had dropped... I thought the GPU was on the blink as well... but then noticed that windows was only reading 2gig ram. So yeh... glad it sorted it for you...
@MrHammonds i had something similar, my cpu must of had crap on one of the pins which caused my ram slots to fuck up and gave me the same blue screen. I just reseated the cpu and it was fine, also i kept getting beep codes when I put my ram in the dual channel slots also..
Same problem here Blue screens, just black screens, and full blue screen with black stripes. All happening at very random.

Sorted now... turns out that it wasn't a GPU problem at all, it was just giving an error for it.
It was actually the RAM I had conflicting in dual channel. So I swapped the sticks out for a proper kit (2 x 4gig) and now it works fine.
