Eddy Grant is a legend. His music brings back memories of a family holiday driving to cornwall UK. my dad used to play his album the whole way there.. such a great album .. would love to go back to those days!
he's from british guyana. eddy grant is their national proud and you could say best known export product next to sugarcane. i travelled through guyana, came in from the south, brasil, travelled all the way up north to georgetown where he lives, i stayed there a while and than i moved on to suriname (dutch guyana)
he recorded his albums in barbados. one love Guyana, big up Eddy
@pimfo I traveled in Guyana about five years ago--staying in a cold water walk-up in Geo-town. It's BEAUTIFUL and welcoming and I don't understand why more Americans and Canadians don't travel there. Largest area of unspoiled rainforest in the world, accessible only by canoe or very limited small aircraft--macaws, mealy parrots, spider monkeys, toco toucans, all in abundance. And Eddie Grant graces some of the postage stamps! One Love.
Supersong!!!It is that Song when first seen my Girlfriend. Now it is our Song. When we go to Disco,we tell the DJ that he must Play that Song. And the Courious Thing is,everybody is Dancing.Wow.
Was Eddie Grant in a movie...i think it was heartland reggae....anyone know??he was sitting up in a tree a few times in it and then at the very closing scene..maybe heartland reggae i think
Good memories, eh. What was the track that had great guitar and dodgy vocals? Started off with "I thought that I was losing you to someone elses arms". Great posting thanks

Some artists did cool stuff way back then, and when you check their work years later, they remain frozen in the coolness. Eddy Grant is like that.

Badly hes music is going to be forgotten nowadays in favor of Lady Gaga and popstars of this kind.
We, who loves his music, got to make him UNFORGETTABLE. Love and peace people ;)
