Actually, @HappyBee232, human relationships with wolves were based on mutual needs.

Technically, we could say the same for this fennec. He was born in captivity (I hope), but is not a domesticated animal. He is being fed and certainly seems well taken care of. However, if he was driven to the desert and set free, would he return to his owner in the space of a couple days? THAT'S the question.

@PenguinPownage yes, In Florida you can get a permit from Fish and Game for Fennec Foxes. It's a Class III wildlife permit. Some States don't allow them at all and some allow you to have them without a permit.

@theforestero Scout is not dead, Spooky the Arctic Fox is the one who passed away. Unfortunately for his last 3 years he had a really horrible case of epilepsy and would sometimes have up to 15 seizures a day. It really fried his brain and I couldn't let him suffer anymore. It was one of the toughest things I've ever had to do in my entire life.

@doofusinthecorner First of all, I would suggest you do some research in order to become a responsible owner. The first thing you are concerned about should not be where to get one, it should be where to find out more about them so that you can learn about their behaviors to make sure you're capable of caring for one or that you'd even want one at all after finding out what they need. Secondly, you need to make sure they are legal where you live and what kind of permits are required...
