Had to live in PA for a couple years, some guy rode his bike to a bank and robbed it, them peddled down the road. And seriously, it was on the news, 5 witnesses got a great description ... of the bike, not the guy. True story

Mid 80's... 3 of us head for the Denny's on Blossom Hill in San Jose for some breakfast. We follow two cop cars into the parking lot, the cops get out of their cars and start talking, we park and head for the resturant. I'm just about to push the door open when I realize the guy standing at the counter has a gun pointed at the person behind the register, we run back to the lot and tell the cops whats going down, they wait just outside the door guns at the ready.... that morning bad guy 0 SJPD 1

and it's doubtful that dude was even the dumbest criminal in that hotel at the time.  after all, there was a convention of cops there. and cops are some of the biggest criminals out there, and most of them certainly are dumb as rocks.
