@MissInterpretCosplay Yes, it depends on how thickly you apply it. A 1/8" layer won't be any heavier than a similar layer of traditional paper strips and paste.
@nataliawasilewska97 I made an inner pattern out of particle board, and then covered it with crumpled paper and masking tape. Then cover that with paper mache.
