I can agree that Vladimir Putin, who still seems like a defacto premier of the Russian state, is a Soviet diehard. As I've stated that the Soviet Union lost, Putin would be "going for Round 2". The global spheres of influence between East and West(Russia vs. NATO) are still competing against each other. The Georgian-Ossetian conflict of '08 was the most recent, and I can recall those Chechen Wars too from earlier.

@Agent1W Putin, this week, announced he's going to switch seats with Medvedev and go back to his former position. A lot of former soviet officlals have found their way back to Kreml. Additionally, the former USSR all failed to account the circumstances & occurences of the time from 1918-1990. Additionally the economical rise of communist China, Vietnam & improving conditions in Cuba add fuel to the pro-communist notions in East & West Europe (Even though China uses capitalistic means).

@GaolisVideoLog Putin and the others have to contend against their corporate fatcats. I've read news reports before that Putin doesn't like the big business people of Russia. Putin, and much like the other Soviet diehards after him, still believe in strong command and control over the economy.
Capitalistic means is ironically the only thing that could sustain a communist state, which is a rather interesting non sequitur statement!

@GaolisVideoLog If there's nationalistic propaganda going on, then the people would probably root for the Soviet statesmen of old. Let's restore Mother Russia to her formal glory, and to get ride of these corporate fatcats who only care about money!

@Agent1W Right. One-Worlderism in U.S. run by Roman Pope, when they did "Vatican II" on majority protestant N. European country (demographically, as u.s.). Ted Kennedy in, Janet Renos, (miami), Pelosis, etc. Catholic-Jewish coalition Hart-celler Act opened border to catholics only. Also pope got u.s. embassy in 80s, created Liberation Theology to incite death against "anglos." (u.s. protestant) Militarist-corporatist & social systems w/ communist think-tanked Ideas. An overall system.
