as soon as the explosion occurs a small noise could be heard, sound travels nowhere near the speed of light so the sound should come with the shock-wave (as most of it does) so whats the sound during the explosion? is there some type of electrical charge caused messing with the speakers? kind of weird in interesting.

@FloridaSeverWeather first, the sound lags a bit, so it seems like theres some sort of sound from the explosion. However, thats not it. Its only because the video is kinda shitty and the sounds lags. And that sound is only the humvees engine idling. If you listen closely you hear the same sound after explosion, only quieter, because the camera picks up the mans voice

@FloridaSeverWeather As you would know sound travels faster thrue dense matereals then thrue thin ones like air. So the sound you heard was the explosion that made the ground vibrate and passing those vibrations thrue to the air above the ground. Thats why you hear a thump when a nuclear device goes of before the shockwave reaches you. Eventhough when your close enough to hear that thump clearly, your probably F*cked

@zsdg34 not necessarily to produce a shockwave something only needs to break the sound barrier causing a sonic bomb. the speed of sound in these weather conditions would most likely be approximately 343 m/s, plus or minus a few m/s. any form of high explosive will break the speed of sound and creates supersonic shockwaves. tnt for example detonates at around 6900 m/s which breaks the speed of sound 20 fold, and easily can create a shockwave. being that you do not no the quality of the camera

You can see the explosion first. Then you hear the rumble as the vibrations are transmitted through the ground into the microphone of the camera. Then the air vibrations hit the microphone, giving the big KABOOM sound.
