You just assume that you'll not die in a fiery crash before returninng home; after all you are not guaranteed a safe return, and you could get killed on your trip!! This is assuming you drive, but of course you could have an "accident" on the subway or any form of public transportation that would end your life before your return to your residence. Oh wel, that has nothing to do with religion does it?
