I loved the opening title and your set. I have just put 3 short clips on myself of Spud Wars and was amazed to find your versions. I honestly had not seen any reference to spud wars before filming and posting mine. (Spooky!) Steve

Thanks for all the comments. The "star bars" were a custom made prop. Inkjet printed on silver paper wrapped around a piece of foamcore. Not fancy but it worked.

the only thing wrong about it was you could see the wires and they occasionally floated in mid-air but you cant get bothered by it because it just plain rocked the best toy movie on youtube for sure

This was before I had a FX program so those lazers are done in photoshop. I now use FXHome Effects Lab Lite (which is what I used for the other Spud videos).

Unfortunately. You can see my homemade version of the R2-potatoo and other Potato Head versions of Star Wars characters in my other movies. This was months ahead of the R2 release, and was just on the heels of the Spud Trooper release. Thanks to all for viewing!

The toaster is there because I needed an appliance for a ship, that had to get hit and explode, it was the quickest easiest thing to use without creating special effects for it as I was on a very tight time frame to finish this.
