1986 was the ONLY real people power. We don't need any more this kind of revolution? Why? Because we already have a constitution and if we continue to violate it (like the so-called "EDSA 2"), do you think democracy in this country will get stronger, if don't follow simple rules on presidential term and succession? The Estrada government was DULY ELECTED, infact it got the highest margin of votes, then your will oust it w/o having his term finish?

The only thing that the so-called "EDSA" was legitimized was because of the so-called "constructive resignation" of Erap, which IS NOT in the constitution.

Let's say there will an EDSA 10, EDSA 50, EDSA 100, victory for "democracy"? Again the real democracy was in 1986. During the Marcos regime, I had no memories of my childhood, I was so innocent or unaware of how cruel the government was, until I watched this documentary,this brings back the memories. The April 7 plebesite was when the day when 2 of my brothers got drowned, one survived,one died, that was the memory, but I knew that we were in Martial law.

I'd already watched this years ago and watched it again yesterday. I thought I had enough knowledge of our recent history and yet I gained more insights than ever. The Filipino people has proven to the world that the peaceful revolution is greater than any violent conflict or armed rebellion. This documentary should be watched by all Filipinos, especially by the students, to learn, reminisce and be inspired of the 4 Glorious Days of 1986 People Power Edsa Revolution.

I see, Band Brothers was made in 2001, so i guess they used the music from episode "Why We fight" then because it's very emotional. I cried many times because it's the time when allied when hearing the theme because this is when soldiers first witnessed the horrors of the concentration camps.Maraming salamat sa lahat ng documentaries about Ninoy, Edsa "People Power", hopefully you could upload one for our dearest President Cory Aquino.

We can only speculate at this point.

We think that if martial law wasn't declared and he won the 1973 elections, Ninoy would've tried his best to turn things around, where Ferdinand and Imelda would be held liable and prosecuted for all the atrocities that they did. He would've reached out to the so-called "enemies of the state" (CPP/NPA and MNLF) and negotiate with them through peace talks so they can finally express their sentiments (Marcos would rather see them dead!).

Oh well...

I believe that the CIA was involved in Marcos administration, and the Aquino liberal side. this situation happened in Latin America, later they took out Manuel Oriega, because he was some dictator in Panama. Ngo Dinh Diem in 63 because he was hated by the Vietnamese people.

after 1986, revolutions began in Europe under USSR territory independence&democracy. like the french revolution the Domino Efftect. This video has taught me that greed can get to people. corruption&dictators are abdicated.

Actually, the US Government was fully supportive of the Marcos dictatorship, so that no communist or Islamic insurgencies will ever reign supreme, much to the dismay of the USSR, China and several Islamic states!

Sadly though, the democratic process in the Philippines had been compromised!

Only when Marcos can no longer quell the situation at EDSA that the US finally withdrew its support and decided to airlift the deposed dictator to safety (Marcos should be thankful of Reagan).
