Great idea! Who cares if it muffles the sound a little? Have you ever heard a school piano that wasn't about 10 years overdue for a voicing and sounded like the hammers were made of metal instead of felt? Muffling could only improve most school pianos' tones.

watched all your videos regarding the piano, I am hoping to get my first piano when one turns up at a good price that I can afford, not that I can afford much! anyway, very informitive, intuitive, and I will certainly hope that I could try tuning a piano for myself, if I fail, will call a pro.

Thank you very much for sharing what must be an everyday event for you (tuning, stablize, leveling etc) with us! not only that, you have shown us how amazing and complicated piano's are too.
