The second thing is that Barney Frank and Criss Dodd, both liberals, initiated the crash by promoting loans to people who could not afford it. These loans were then packaged and sold to unsuspecting working people as investment bonds which went under. You need to do better research on the subject.

The Farm Bill did not "re-open" the Pigford case. Instead, Congress provided a new right to sue.
On 2/18/10 a Settlement Agreement required Congress to fund an additional $1.15 billion for successful claimants (which would bring total funding for valid claims to $1.25 billion). On12/8/10, Obama signed it into law.
People really need to get off their asses and verify the "facts". Go to Snopes or fact check.org and see what the actual truth is. Fact, there was a Pigford 1 and an ongoing Pigford 2. Falsehood, Obama did not sponsor nor vote on the bill. Falsehood, The bill was not passed in dead silence. I read the Pigford II Setttlement and logic would tell me that the decision was more politcal than legal. I have been "wronged" so many times by court decisions, lost 30% of investments in 2002 due to investment CO's mistatements, but I get lots of legal notices that go beyond understanding, but does the Gov't bail me out? No. I am a Viet Nam era vet, and cannot get benefits because I wasn't in Viet Nam, No.
By definition a frivolous law suit is not one where the plaintiff's prevails. You are free to disagree with the outcome, but it is not frivolous. I also find that focusing blame on a single event, administration, person or group is shallow and short sighted. Just because you waive a flag doesn't make you a patriot. The Farm Bill did not "re-open" the Pigford case. Instead, Congress provided a new right to sue.
On 2/18/10 a Settlement Agreement required Congress to fund an additional $1.15 billion for successful claimants (which would bring total funding for valid claims to $1.25 billion). On12/8/10, Obama signed it into law.

I read the Pigford II Setttlement and logic would tell me that the decision was more politcal than legal. I have been "wronged" so many times by court decisions, lost 30% of investments in 2002 due to investment CO's mistatements, but I get lots of legal notices that go beyond understanding, but does the Gov't bail me out? No. I am a Viet Nam era vet, and cannot get benefits because I wasn't in Viet Nam, No.
