  • Sweet! Despite the ubiquitious presence of the hollow-body guitar in jazz, I hear some Pat Metheny chiming through Russell's playing.

  • horrible sound what is this song called anyway?

  • shoulds like chinese music

  • @RichGirI Russell is playing one of his original tunes, "Flirt," from his live recording, "Live At Jazz Standard, Volume One" (MAXJAZZ, 2006).

Flirt is one of my favorite Russell Malone Songs songs.

Russell's quartet includes Martin Bejerano (piano), Tassili Bond (bass), and Johnathan Blake (drums).

  • ...sigh....lovely playing...still cant tell if he is using flat or roundwounds...they sound like roundwounds...That JC120 sounds nice too. They are just super heavy amps...and you have to play clean cuz it picks up all your mistakes.

  • What a great concert it was!

  • Sorry, I can't seem to spell "video" very well.

It also seems that Martin Bejerano is NOT playing piano at this particular show. It may be Danny Grisset on piano here.
