The problem is, it's always sold out! I hear the new Darwin will have a Blue LCD. Bad move in my opinion. The contrast of on screen TXT will be blurred. Blue LED light blurs and distorts our vision. The human eye can not see it sharply. This is the worst LED color to choose for legibility of the screen. The Darwin Devolv, lol
Hey thanks for the video Cypresss, I just ordered my Darwin yesterday and cant wait to get it. I wanted to ask you if you have any input or problems you have heard with the over dripping to where it can leak into the button and scroll wheel and hurt or damage the processors/connections. I have heard from some they fixed this but wanted your input.
@vtxneoman I have heard the same thing. Overdipping is a bigger problem with any electrical-type mod. Some atomizers are worse than others when it comes to leaking, so you just have to keep an eye on it. Check out empire mods and get a drip shield...you'll be all set.
Great review video. Concise, informative and balanced. No loud music or drawn out flashy special effects.
I'm one of the first people to get the Darwin, and did have one go down on me after using it with an 801 carto. Brandon with evolv overnighted me a new unit, and followed up with a phone call to troubleshoot the malfunction and make sure my experience was satisfactory.
Absolutely loving this with a cart tank mod and 510 extension.
Excellent review, Cypress. There seems to be a lot of resistance to the Darwin by the Tube lovers out there, nice to have a video review I can point interested parties to since my explanations of Power Regulated suck. Thanks for taking the time to do this, and for everyone else, I'm 100% with him on this one, I LOVE MY DARWIN.
Nice to see you back Cypresss and nice job. I thought the audio was ok, but you'll dial it in as you get used to it. You put this vid out the same day my Darwin was delivered and I literally watched it about 10 times waiting for the mailman! Just an awesome device imo. It's hard for me to even pick up my other VV devices now and yes I do have a P**V**i ! The Darwin has some small negatives, but overall it's the best vape on the market as of right now imho.
By the way, I just listened to this again...and the audio isn't where I want it. Sounds like it's mono, left channel only. Probably because of the mic position. I will do better next time, I PROMISE!!!!
I really like the wattage being constant, however its a face only people who payed 200 dollars for it could love. The lack of battery changing is a big factor as well...I know you could send it back if its under warranty...but I had to do that with my ipod once and it isn't a painless process and you are without the device while it gets mailed/worked on/ mailed again. A nice evolution in vaping tech though.
@sentiantone That's kinda the idea. I actually use it based on the e-liquid instead of the atomizer. I know that I like Boba's Bounty at ~ 7.5 W, regardless of the atty. I also have found that I like the DigitalCiggz juices (Honeybeez and Vanillaz) at 9.5 - 9.7 W. Once you find the spot that a juice tastes best for you, then it's plug and play.

so its a convenience thing. same vape no matter the atty.

so its a convenience thing. put in any ohm atty or cart and they all vape at the same wattage (temp, voltage). Essentially, is that it?
