Our college marching band (Western Carolina University, look us up :] ) plays this and it sounds so beautiful. I agree on the suspended cymbal thing, it would sound better.
Nice sound, just too much of it! Hard to play this piece cleanly with so many folks. But if choral groups of 80 and 300-piece marching bands can do it, it's achievable...
This was an honor band. They had rehearsed Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon and evening and then performed later that night. This was also the lower of the two honor bands.
Sounded great but the cymbal crash ruined it at around the 1:18 mark. Nice and beautiful and then CRASH. I think that part would have been better with a light cymbal roll on a suspended cymbal. Overall, great performance.!
to much 1st trombone!!!!!

its good, but theres no dynamic changes. and it seems like you rushed the eighth notes a bit. all in all a very nice performance.

Yeah, our band is doing this, but the difference is, we have like, forty people on a good day. Real nice job though

Blame it on the arranger, Bruce Houseknecht.
