@tredub91 - If you don't believe these work, Google "Universal Hovercraft". I have built many hovercrafts, some from their plans and they work amazingly on land and water. I have made one of these vacuum ones, they do work. So don't diss it until you try it!

@NICHOLASJONAS2315 - Google "Universal Hovercraft". They sell plans and kits. The base kit is $1500 and its called the UH-10F. They are self propelled up to 30mph, they work great, cheap and are a great first hovercraft.

well you could use a fan... theyre not really that expensive...

Typical fans do not move anywhere close to the volume of air needed for even homeade hovercraft. You could use a high power vacuum if it has either a reverse option or blower feature but those are still more expensive than leaf blowers.

I would have opted for a gas powered blower though. More power and can be used outdoors without cords.
