  • This is the best scene in this movie... I love the animation of this movie but the philosophy is... Well... Not so good.

  • you sell your waking life for minimum wage but you get your dreams for free

  • @Evilbible "It's bad enough that you sell your waking life for minimum wage, but now they get your dreams for free."

  • "asleep in life's waiting room???"

that could be the preface to all our lives... you know what i mean?

  • I have a confession to make. The reason I got a ukulele? This scene.

  • gotta see the whole movie, just reminding people of this gem

  • Great video!

  • i just finished watching the movie. it really made me think. wounderful and wierd, the way it should be.

  • Now i know. I saw the movie some time back. Really moving movie. Don't know wht it moved, but it did, on a deepre level. At the end, i was so.. disturbed/rejoice/relieved@fweird ass feeling... hmnnnj...; thanks for the vid.

  • @raggaekitty what are the chords?

  • Love Guy Forsyth - a great musician from Austin Texas (also check out the Asylum Street Spankers btw)

I've never been sure how I felt about Waking Life, considered scene-by-scene it is kind of hit-and-miss for me, but this was one of my favorite monologues in the whole movie and I've always loved Guy Forsyth, but I just found out today EIGHT YEARS LATER that that was Guy Forysth in THAT scene! I didn't even recognize "True Friends" when I last saw this movie...

  • If you dont believe that you are alive then watch the Jig-Saw movies! Because the main challenge is to reflex about your life saving yourself life..

but the main idea is that the average people don't live a life.. When they face death that is the only chance when they realize the greatness of life..

  • Can anyone tell me what that chord is that he's holding for most of the "song"?

  • @brandonmcmahan im pretty sure it's a D major but a lot higher on the fret board.

  • Wow, I just bought a Guy Forsyth CD this weekend. I was listening to it and I heard this tune on the ukulele. The name of the song is "True Friends" and it is on the "Can You Live Without" CD.

  • i love when i realize im in a dream and i can do whatever i want so much fun!!!

  • I know!! (lucid dreaming) I have been practicing that for awhile now and i have one every week or less! If you want more just practice reality checks, (for example, look at your hands or pinch your nose to see if you can breathe through it still throughout the day, and if you do that enough it will become a habit in your dreams. when doing reality checks in dreams you will be able to breathe through your nose while pinched.)

  • hey i hav been looking up on th\\at its called Lucid dreamng .. i hav a question 4 you . \How long can you controll your dream for how long does your dream last

  • does anyone have the ukulele tabs for this?

  • @constantlehigh its a song called True Friends by Guy Forsyth, thats all i know sorry

  • @constantlehigh google "waking life ukulele" the first thing that came up was tabs. ;)
