  • which is better to use? zsnes or snes9x?

  • nice video but when i start avi recording the sound totally fucks up...

  • i did everything u said but when i press start avi recording the window pops up then another window pops up asking send or dont send error report, you cant click other stuff except the 2 send or dont send buttons so if u click one of them snes9x just closes down, i tried doing it again but the same stupid thing happens, HELP ME!!!!!!

  • What program do you recommend for recording commentary over these?

  • I dunno if youre still around, but how do you make that footage 720p

  • @CoolBlackFonzie SNES games are rendered out in 256x224. Changing the resolution to 1280x720 will not improve the quality of your footage just increase the amount of time rendering out the video.

  • and to record my voice together?

  • @affvsfseusnoob You'll have to use another program for your audio simultaneously as you record your footage. Then sync the audio when editing it.

  • @Ignopius thanks, man! I started using Fraps (okay, not started, but tried) now and it records both fine! Now I can do my LPs.

  • Respond to this video...

  • @mrgogeta6485 Only SNES games.

  • Nice video mate.

  • i use fraps to record gameplay. but my computer is slow so it takes time to render it.

  • @MrHoffar Fraps records with huge file sizes though and costs money whereas this doesn't. Also I use Fraps as well for other games.

  • @Ignopius Although fraps records in huge file sizes you can as i do put your video files togetehr in sony vegas and render them with your prefered options and it gives it keeps the same if not better quality video but massively smaller file size

  • @ID4CONFIRMED Fraps takes a stronger computer then this method and like I said it costs money. I personally use Fraps for most things though so I see your point.

  • Emu paradise? You sure that's not a website involving strange birds?

Jk jk. Pretty helpful, although I wish I knew how to record video from an actual SNES, considering I'm one of the few nerds who have one. XD

  • @SkoorbelaC I have one. It doesn't work though. =( You could probably record from a SNES with a capture card or some sort of dvd recording device.

  • @Ignopius Well, I have one, only problem is when I hooked the AV cables into it, nothing really happened. It's a shame, considering I really wanted Kirby Super Star videos. :'( I'd be more willing to get an SNES emulator than a DS one (for Ultra) though, so maybe in the future I'll make it work.

    On another note, cool wallpaper!

  • @SkoorbelaC DS emulators are a lot harder to work than SNES, so you'd best go with the SNES emulator if you did decide to record. Also that background is from The Last Story! I hope they localize it to America!

  • @Ignopius It's really annoying how the best games don't get English versions. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity, Mother 3, etc. Mainly because of the lack of their US popularity, and pirates. I just hate it how if a game doesn't involve shooting, gore, war, or sports in it, Americans just don't like it. And those who do like RPGs an such, a lot of them just pirate the game. Irritates a guy, ya know?

  • @SkoorbelaC Actually out of the 43 Japanese titles Nintendo has localized here in the States only 3 games sold more in Japan than the US. An anonymous representative at NOA supposedly told operation rainfall that Xenoblade is done being translated and that Last Story is next for Localization, but who knows how reliable that source is. You can only wish that it is true!

  • @Ignopius Yeah, but things happen. You know Capcom cancelled Megaman Legends 3 for the 3DS? I was looking foward to that, definately one of the games I'd pick up if I had a 3DS. I'll have to see what Last Story is about though.

  • From experience techsmith encoder works the best if you have camtasia to use it

  • @JaredPwn Yeah the quality is much better that way (not file size though), but not everyone owns a copy of Camtasia.
