  • Very clean! Very Funky! Very nice job.

  • Mmm. it's me learning and playing for fun. It's one of the first recordings/video's I made. Learning how to use a DAW, VST's mix the whole bag, thanks for the comment :)

  • i love how you sneak the bass into the mix. great balance here - you're indeed a solid player. is this you rehearsing? or just jammin out for fun?

  • I like hearing songs not in the mainstream, obscure songs really challenge musicians learning skills, overplayed popular songs both new and old are easier to pick up on for they are beat into our heads all the time, making memorey and repitition all the more helpful, but songs like this make us think outside the box a bit and learn something not often heard,GREAT JOB on all your vids, nice change of pace from know-it-all teeny boppers spoon fed on Flea & Claypool(nothing against these two guys).

  • @cottonfever1221 Thanks for the great comments. I really appreciate you viewing and taking the time.

  • I cant hear the bass at all...

  • cool this will help me

we are learning this song for my group

  • Could do with more bass level but fab choice of song

  • Nice job. Solid fat bassline. You nailed it.

  • nice video, well done!.... how does one record what is being played in NI's B4II?

  • nice nice man ....i like that....

  • I am really impressed all the parts sound good. Is the a tab fro the bass part?

  • I've never used tabs, and the part I'm playing is just what I came up with, not the same as the record.

    Thanks for the comment :)

  • i can't hear the bass at all. can you turn down the backing track some next time?

  • Its because you have a hearing problem Bass is really there man

  • i have golden ear, so i think my tiny laptop spks dont translate much bass, but i seem to hear bass fine on other vids. maybe cuz this guy plays so light and his sound is kind of murky with too many low mids and no presence. Real good 70's bass sounds are deeper yet more defined, and compressed lots. very hard to get good real 70's bass sounds these days with modern gear.

  • Thanks for the critique, that golden ear should be looked at , both mine are skin color :).

Sounds good on my rig, listening on a laptop no wonder you can't hear it.

  • great playing but I am wearing headphones and while the bass can be heard its getting drowned out by the backing track mostly the synths so I a have to agree with the statement that the bass needs to be turned up some more

which is a shame because you are doing a solid job on the bass

  • Great Job. Billy Preston was Great.

  • You nailed the 70's bass sound and feel of a great song. I respect and appreciate the skill it took. You got soul.

    (RIP Billy)
