  • I still have very fond memories of going down to Pets Plus and Fish Place with you, Charlie, and Noel one December, years ago. I remember you telling me about some fish you had purchased there long ago, so it's nice to see them grown.

Pufferman is very impressive! Is he a sexed male? and have you ever been tempted to find a female? i find your 800G tanks very fascinating, would love to see the other ones!

  • I thought it was a Jewel Cichlid central American so I stand corrected. Can you please post some vids of your Frontosa tanks

  • WOW...beautiful!!!...My wife loves her juvie Jack Dempsey as well....that and her Frontosa..lol

  • That is a male Fosssochromis rostratus they get up about 25cm 10".

  • @arapaimagg how much does it cost a month to run your 52k? My crew and I are launching a 200k and I wanted to get a ballpark estimate on the total cost.

  • @MrNother23

Try ZooDiver on Monsterfishkeepers.comhe owns includes a 250k and a 600k plus. He will be able to give you that information.

  • What's the name of the (greenish-blueish) bigger cichlid that swims above the puffer in the first few seconds? Thx!

  • I am a puffer fanatic and one day dream to have a tank that could house a Mbu puffer. Such massive fish!

  • it would be so cool to come to your house and see your tanks

  • Nice tank.

  • WOW thats great video an a wonderful tank :)

  • JACK DEMPSEY!!!

  • @DeptulaRacing

Always liked Jack Dempsey as it was my first cichlid later adding angelfish and oscars when I was about 10 years old.

WOW !!!! that car of yours is fast I just watched a video of you driving it.

  • I just use a drip system with an overflow. The water goes to 2 other tanks and then through overflows out of them also.

  • how do you do water changes can you messege me and tell me

  • whats all in there for fish

  • wow

  • Another stellar tank, sir. Between this and your large tanks your power and water bill must be in the thousands!

  • Thanks glad you enjoyed it.

I live in the country and have 2 wells but the power and heat is pretty expensive.

  • One fx5 for the whole tank?

    That's awesome.

  • I use a drip system so the chemical filtration is not needed because the tank has a 100 to 200 gallon change each day. Then I fill all the trays with filter floss so it functions mainly as a mechanical filter.

  • LOVE IT MIKE!!! i would kill for the rostratus!

  • I got those as babies at the London auction a year and 3 months ago for $2 each.

I bought a few more last fall at Cambridge and Kitchener/W auctions for a $ each. They were only 1" long but you can see how fast they grow.

The trio in the puffer tank have bred and there are a few babies in the rocks.

I also have a breeding trio in the 52k.

    Nice fish to own.

Have you gone to Safari in Vaughan Mills yet?

  • WOW thats cheap!

im in mississauga so no, i have never been to Vaughn, i had a rostratus i bought from finatics but my tank was to small back then.

was sad to seem him go :(

  • I've been to the VM store. I think its a Hagen installation. Its a pretty store, but doesn't stock anything different from most pet stores and the prices aren't any different either.

  • I agree

I went On Saturday with a few fishy buddies. The fish selection is just bread and butter stuff,,,,,,,,,,no oddballs
