  • So Joe, basically your advice is "ask a professional at your local store" for info on drum head selection. Sorry, but this is not a very good tutorial.

  • what type of drum head can i use for a similar sound as the song in the beginning???

not too familiar with drums...please help!!!

  • The head is only a small part of it. In this case I used an Aquarian Studio-X head. The more important part is the snare. I used a custom made 12x8 5-ply birch shell and I was very careful with the bearing edges to make sure it had the sustain and crispness that I wanted. Hope that helps a little.

  • Thanks!!!

  • But you don't need a custom snare in the least bit to make this sound. I have a steel Tama Swingstar snare (I think from the eighties. Maybe more recent) and I use the stock resonate head with a Remo Emperor X on the batter side and my snare sounds almost identical to this one.

  • can s1 send da reg. cod to me please???

  • goofing in the studio.

  • song @ beginning?
