When Halston moved to San Francisco (just before his death), he sold his townhouse at 101 East 63d Street to Gianni Agnelli, the Italian Fiat magnate, for five million dollars. I don't know how long Agnelli kept the house, I know it was a stunning home, Halston had a very classic taste.
New owner Billionaire Playboy Gunther Sachs purchased the home, until his death by suicide on May 7, 2011 in Gtaad, Switzerland. I'm sure the townhouse is back on the market now.
Thank you for your comments, when I visited New York City for the first time this is one of places I wanted to visit, because all of the famous celebrities that passed through these doors, like Studio 54.
