@PhoenixEryaXX3 In the ancient time, there's a very famos player of this instrument which named 伯牙（bo ya), when he played this song, a person named 钟子期(zhongziqi) said : this song sound like the moutain(高山). then bo ya cambia the song, zhongziqi said : now it sounds like the waterfall(流水). boya was very happy that zhongziqi understand his song. those two became very good friends. however, zhongziqi died one day. when boya heard this bad news, he broke his instrument, and never played the song.

做为古筝曲，高山流水为代表曲目。但高山流水最普遍的是三个版本­，一个是山东筝派，一个是浙江筝派，还有一个就是河南筝派。古筝­之所以是三个版本，是因为曲调完全不同，而不是演奏技法的不同。

I'm looking for guzheng music just like this. I have heard plenty but im only interested in the real slow tempo styled ones like this piece. Can y'all make some recommendations. I'm having a terribly difficult time finding guzheng music with slow relaxing tempos. I have one called guzheng breathing ,its seems a little more modern but it passes as far as my taste.

@CARTROLL I like Fisherman's Song which is not highly difficult and goes slowly. for some reason it really helps me relax and I feel like it has this way of luring the performer into the music.

@CARTROLL guzheng is usually played more abrasively than guqin. Guqin is appropriate when you want to calm, guzheng is appropriate when you want excitement. Much like comparing erhu and pipa, pipa is simply livelier and more abrasive than erhu due to its nature. Not that there isn't significant overlap in their potential, but guzheng and pipa more easily evoke excitement and erhu and guqin more easily evoke relaxation.
